I guess we'll always have Total War and Total Annihilation/Supreme Commander games, for the people who actually like some depth in their games.

Red Alert 2 was released by EA, as well as NOX, Tiberian Sun, Generals, Renegade , CnC3 and now RA3 ....
RA3 is developed by EA Studios Los Angeles , which still has some of the original Westwood Studio employees.
But why bother, as long as someone can bitch about something ...

reviewed at gamespot- 8.0
And actually there was one single sentence in the review that turned this game from "i want it, i want it now" to "i may pirate it some time later"
"co-op play is unavailable on a local network"
*sigh*

I liked the video review seems to me the tempo is much slower then in the beta, 8.0 is kinda low it's the worse Red Alert yet (not surprisingly) according to GS:
RA 1: 9.5
RA 2: 8.5
Yuri: 8.5
RA 3: 8.0
PCgamer gave it 92.

The game is another ea rental, mass effect type securom with 5 hw changes/win installations instead of 3 plus other scenarios if you hard drive goes you will lose an activation, whoever cracked ME shouldn't have to much trouble.

Since the scene is suxing so much these days, expect it to take a little time.
Someone else will probably crack it before them.

I love reading this shit, ea fanboys turning on ea because they are getting sick of another bioshock/me/spore pirates meanwhile have no problems whatsoever, this will be ea's downfall their tiny fanbase will kill them and then sweet tears of ea employees crying on the street! mmmmmmmmm yes, give them to me ea, I want to swim in the river of your destruction, I can almost taste it!

yes because the pc gamers are clearly the main target of ea's games and now only 8 pc people will buy ea games instead of 14... the downfall of ea!!1

Their downfall on the pc, I don't care about consoles they can release viva pinata or whatever they want over there.
Small steps at any rate, first we destroy them here then we'll think of something for the consoles going dooooooooooooooooooooooooown!!

I dont know about that, when I played through Kane's Wrath I saw the same simplicity and same old go there and kill something or defend this building for 10 minutes. The exact same mission structure has been used for all of the C&C games.

Looks like an anti-Hamachi move. If you have a legit copy, doing it over the Internet with computers in your local network should be pretty similar.

True, you can call a premium rate number at a cost almost equal to just buying the game new to activate your cheaper used copy (if the EA rep on the other end got laid the night before and your're lucky in life generaly). I doubt resellers would be keen on buying them though because of that, and the removal of my post only says to me that perhaps I was correct.

As long as they say they're fighting piracy, they think they have carte blanche to do shit like that. It's disgusting.
Games are cracked before they know it, and before the week's over, the ones suffering due to the whole, complicated "protection" scheme will be the legitimate customers, who are meant to stick with it as long as they own their copy.

But then again all you have to do is call EA and get new activation codes so the secondhand market doesnt really hurt by it as long as they get the cdkey when they buy it. | Pay a visit to the bioware mass effect off-topic forum num1, num2 you can't get this game re-activated if you didn't buy it yourself some people got a single extra activation by literally begging ea over the phone, some information ea asked for was birth dates, store where they bought it, receipts, serial number on the box, combined with the limited installs this kills the resale thing, since it doesn't touch pirates at all I assume that that was their goal. And how in the name of fuck is someone from Romania or Africa gonna call ea in the usa, and what if the person calling can't speak english?
