Wondered why my character was getting fat..Until I got the message about eating pies and not exercising....

So I guess I need to take time out from all the running and fighting, followed by more running, to go find a fucking gym or something..

The only way in the game to reduce your fatness is to eat Celery. Buy it @ Bowerstone Marketsquare, its on one of the stalls.

Bah, those damn -50% discount on the weapons shops atm are just for 1 day. Takes more time to get there. Anyway, how do you guys get good deals on weapons. Iv noticed some Weapon traders that sell weapons 20-30% less than sales value.

If you gave the 5 arrest warrants to the town guard at the start of the game you'll get a 50% discount on all stalls in Bowerstone Old Town. Just stock up on the most expensive weapons, potions and gifts, then sell them at the stalls and blacksmiths in Bowerstone Town Square.

Even better, sell them to the traders at Fairfax Gardens (posh area of Bowerstone where the archeologist is). You'll usually get a 10% mark-up on all items, which is shit if you're buying, but well handy when you're selling (especially when you've just bought everything at a 50% discount) Wink

Don't charm the stall owners who you sell to tho. It might get you a buyer's discount, but you'll also get less $ when selling stuff to them.

I love the art style of this, and the music and presentation is first class...

Criticism, as far as scale and scope goes, I can't help but have a renewed respect for Oblivion...I mean all the names, mythical weapons, attention to detail... Even though the landscape was kind of repetitious it absolutely dwarfs this..

I guess the team and amount of time are both going to be smaller for Fable 2, but I got lost in Oblivion's world more I think..

Lol yea after I tried it the first time I was like omg this is awesome. I worked as blacksmith until it said I need like 23,000 to get promoted so I just said screw that. Now I make about 10,000 gold every five minutes so no need to change time on the console anymore lol

My guy looks like a pirate since I bought all the good clothes and now all the ladies instantly fall in love Very Happy

Make sure you dont have any of the rents increased over 0%. I had mine set to 25% and then I started playing the game (after fast forwarding a few months on my console) and I got an achievement that said I "took corruption to the utmost extreme" lol and my character's face was lookin all evil.

You have to DC from Live to do the exploit, so I'm pretty sure it would work.

@big basher: I don't care that much about achievements, I just play through the story

@dezztroy: I did that, also seen vids, but didnt work for me. (rent out a place, go to dashboard, DC and change the clock settings enter the game...nothing :\ )

Has anyone else got bored of this prematurely? I've got effectively unlimited money, and maxed out all my useful skills after only 12 hours of playtime. Now every side quest just seems pointless, and the main quest isn't particularly compelling.

The lack of freedom is also extremely evident once you clear the initial area, Bower Lake really gave the illusion of non-linearity. Sad

Yeah, the best part of the game for me is the period spent becoming financially self sufficient, and getting weapons...

Then it kind of dawned on me that the environment is pretty shallow so It became kind of an action game, just did the main quests...

Combat isn't that deep either, though I guess that's par for the course with this type of game..

Definitely, that's how I maxed out most of my attributes after 12 hours. Sad

That's what the main man Molyneux said, the videogames industry needs to converge casual gamers with hardcore apparently...

i really hate the way he makes prophetic speeches about the direction the whole freaking industry should take... Like Fable 2 is beyond reproach...

Where do I buy furniture? The furniture store is always out of stock even when the town's economy is doing very well.

Just the finished the game (main quest). And it´s very superficial!

You don´t immerse in the story... Although it was great fun, and that´s what matters
