damn.. the ripsaw gun thing is the most useless piece of crap ever. It has a range of like 1 metre, but almost every single enemy is on your face byting your eyebrows off when theyre within that distance Confused

The only time I can use it on Hard mode without dying is when Ive just shot a necro's leg off and its on the floor for like 5 seconds recovering.

some biologist at 3drealms forum got angry

Dead Space is 1:1 on the good microbiology: terrible microbiology scale.

No designers of Dead Space, bacteria do not infect cells through "osmosis".

I'll forgive you, they got that eosinophils were the important cell in the immune system against parasites though.

That's a real howler though.

Actually, we do. Not to that level of detail, maybe, but we certainly want a credible explanation, and the more 'out-there' the explanation is the more 'silly' the plot and game in general becomes.

And while we do care, we're willing to suspend out disbelief in order to enjoy a quality game.

not caring too much about (arguably) details, doesn't make one automatically brainless. i cared about the story, the characters, all that.
for example, i read all of the logs that i found and paid attention to the story. but this osmosis thing just whooshed past me. don't remember that at all.
yeah, there are aliens, and they're infecting dead bodies, making them come back to life. good enough for me!

i thought the method of infection was skull raping by those bat-like creatures. if people like to call it something else, i don't mind Very Happy

U didnt know about osmosis?? Geee... Very Happy

Now seriously, like the console worshipper above said Very Happy , we enjoy a believable (age and knowledge depending) setting for a game. I want to believe in the situacion, otherwise i dont get into the ambient.

But of course:

Quote:
we're willing to suspend out disbelief in order to enjoy a quality game

well enough said. Smile

In other way, what you dont know, does not trash your belief in the game settings/story.

I must however make a point here, that while there is some suspense of disbelief, in the last few years I just can't seem to enjoy sci-fi movies who have these spaceships do all these noises in deep space. Just dumb to a level of . Just a total turn-off.

So there is a line of credibility that should be there. Smile

i never thought silent space ships could be a turn on.
but each to his own Wink

i was hoping for some outer space mile-high action with nicole, myself. i was very disappointed, i must say, when she turned out to be all emo and lacking sex-drive.
eh. could've been from the birth control pills, so i won't judge her.

yeah, i bet she's got horrible back pain. a massage would do her good. i'd do her good too.

also arrow keys are so 90s. they were good when you'd play a game only with the keyboard, so your right hand was all you needed. right now they're just uncomfortable, considering that you also need some adjacent keys for grenades, leaning, crouching, running, jumping, etc.
