How many times can you take the INTENSE TRAINING perk? It says Ranks: 10 on the perk. THat mean you can take it 10 times? You could pump your your stats way too much if that is true.

Well even if you can take it 10 times you miss out on 10/20 perks, so it's probably balanced enough.

Yea but most other perks suck anyway. Anyone know for sure how many times you can take intense training? I just started but want to plan my character ahead of time.

OMG wtf... I installed another game with G4WL and created offline profile, and now F3 doesn't see my saves. Saves are still in a the same folder in My Docs but F3 can't see them. Any ideas?

too bad it feels completely like oblivion , still a good game tho
I wouldn't give it a 94% or 10/10 like the other bribed reviewers did because technically it is far behind, but if you can look through that there's a pretty good RPG there ,nothing special tho

look at the name of a save from your old folder and search for smth like that. |
Yeah I found that folder, another folder in F3 saves directory was created with my live offline username so I just moved them there and it's all good again.

Mister_s wrote: | Yes it will be outdated in 2010, but I doubt they'll use Gamebryo again by then. You're talking like they're using it for decades already, many devs use their trusty engine for years with tweaks. What dev develops or even buys a new engine with every new project? That would be totally dumb and inefficient unless you don't trust your engine. | I've seen this type of thing before, well we all have, and I'm scared of seeing the same bugs that carry over from one project to the next that use the same engine and developers that are too god damn stupid to fix them, no to mention design flaws, so what I'm saying is I want a new engine all together because I know Bethseda is to stupid to not freeze the environment when you initiate dialog, it will never, ever be corrected in this engine if they used it for another 20 years that stupid freeze bomb will always be there, it annoys me to death, haven't these people played ME, Gothic, Outcast, the Witcher? Not to mention I and a lot of other people don't want another game that feels like you're playing Oblivion, you are in a wasteland and you fell like you are stuck in Oblivion that's just wrong, it needs to be a new engine because the engine is the soul of the game, gives it new smells , tastes and sounds.

Avg score of 94 out of 17 reviews. Sorry, but you don't get an avg of 94 with a game that is bad, average, or even really good. A game that scores that high is considered stellar. You may not like it but the rest of the world does. | So what? Halo 1 and Halo 2 had major scores too and they're a piece of shit ( judging from the PC versions ). I'll do my own reviews, thank you.
Got out of the vault just now, performance is pretty good, even better than what I got with Oblivion and without any kind of stuttering. But now that I'm out, I can understand some complaints regarding the poor textures; the game still looks pretty good, though. |

You consider 83 and 72 major scores? I consider them pretty good and decent. I guess that's where we differ.

Look at the users I always do on GS, on mc they gave F3 7.8 which is a decent score as you say, F1&F2 got 9.4 and 9.5.

and i didn't liked either game ... (and can't understand how someone can rate them that high either). That's why i never EVER trust in scores ... they're biased bs.

jesus christ, man. have you read the comments there?
if you're gonna go down that way, next thing you'll know is you'll be chatting with gametrailers commenters and arguing about whether something "sucks balls" or "it's awesome". | Don't read the bloody commentaries just look at the average scores, I find it more reliable than the pro-reviews average scores, a LOT more reliable in fact, maybe the gamers play more games and know the real score so to speak better than reviewers. And I was talking about fallout metacritic user scores.

Seems I'm late for the "party".
There are a tons of games that I need to complete before trying F3, but all this talk about not being as bad game as most of us thought, has intrigued me.
I would like to at least start thinking on the initial distribution of points for my future character.
Also, any suggestions on which attributes does the game caters?
I tend to focus on:
-Preception
-Intelligence
-Agility
-Charisma
But since VATS points regenerate, Perception may not be as important now?
Also, someone mentioned that couldn't recruit a NPC because of his/her "alignment".
That sounds like Charisma is not as relevant now.
Given Todd's childish antics, perhaps "big guns" are the best way to go?
(Rather much prefer "small guns + Energy or HxH)
And apparently, weapon degradation is so bad, that putting a lot of early points in "Repair" is a must.
Thanks!

i found that out the hard way, after ignoring the big guns skill completely, i found the sniper rifle and couldn't hit shit with it, so it's completely useless right now |
WTF ? But didn't the sniper rifles used to be consider as a small guns in F1/F2 ? ...
They changed it ?

Good read, thanks a lot for the link!
And yes, I believe sniper and scoped rifles were considered as part of "small guns" in F1/F2. But reading the guide above, it seems there is a new category known as 2-Handed rifles (TES?). And apparently, is better than small as well.
Have to wonder if the are energy weapons, and how or when the "special encounters" appear. I remember Todd mentioning the Stranger appearing from time to time in fights.
