I thought as much such dirty tricks are typical EA. I laugh my ass off when some dude writes the pluses of buying original games and he mentions that you can't get a virus like when you download a cracked copy  probably the worst rumor you can find on the internet especially since securome is malware and more dangerous then a virus/securom free cracked copy. |

Anyone having a problem with the black screen before the main menu, read this:
Had the same problem myself. Found that going into the hosts file and putting 127.0.0.1 servserv.generals.ea.com speeded the wait up from about 1 minute down to about 5 seconds. Well worth it, honestly. The hosts file in XP is in ithe windows install folder (usually C), so... c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc)

Yeah this fix was already mentioned in this thread long time ago, all the people having black screen issue deserve it because they don't bother reading and paying attention.

I didnt complain about an issue. Besides that, no reason to be rude, you can make a point without that. If people actualy would post usefull stuff in this tread i would read it, but now its just a big pill of bullshit.
