If there is one movie in the last 5 years worth spending the $70 on... this is it.

Normally I am the first to pirate something the day it is out, but this... this is something slightly different. I've read the books at least three times apiece, loved every page. And Jackson really does an excellent job recreating it.

The DVD I will definitely get/rip/burn via NetFlix or Blockbuster Online. The Special Features discs (9 of them if I am not mistaken) will be warezed and downloaded or NetFlixed, whichever is available first.

I would buy it except for 2 things:

New Line/MPAA are milking this cow dead. They've taken a good film, which by no means was meant as a charity, and they've surpassed even their normal limits, making this a $120 cash cow. It pissed me off with Star Wars, I'm pissing on them with LOTR.

I'm not able to shell out the $80. I gotta do things with that money. Like apply to college.

Peter got enough dollars already.

About Hitman: Movie (2007)
Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie.

Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

I have a faster internet then u can imagine but hey! why would i download 16GBs for 1 movie ? any ideas ?
I have over 50 DVDs (LEGAL bough) and i've seen the quality on those. Guess what i even compared them! WOW yea! im not joking , i have!
If you actually have a dvd player that supports xvid/divx u should compare them too.
The Xvid version of Shrek2 by brutus was like only 5% worse then the DVD Smile yea.
I just think why would i donwload 16 gb's instead of 2 gb for a movie ? especially if its a GOOD rip , like this one and there won't be much of a difference Wink

p.s. i've got a home theater Very Happy

Did netflix and bestbuy moviepass this summer (they had a promo for blockbuster reducing price to 14$ for a whole month... price of 3 movies for like 50+? hahah)

Right now it's at 180, and I get about 1 or 2 per week depending on how many dvds come to the free media center on campus Razz

But yeah, they aren't as well done as group rips hehe
