bullshit. don't exist a disc for steam games. discs are only for imagination. u have to download to install them and their updates all time

You buy a steam game at retail, this game holds the data, Steam unlocks it and applies any updates, you play.
Disc is still a retail disc with the game code on.
I fail to see why you do not grasp this. Of course you have to apply the updates, any PC game has this nowadays, steam just lets you do it without hassle, and for a single player game such as this, turning updates off does not matter.
The game will still be pirated, with a new installer probably, although the scene release version of half-life 2 had the original installer off the retail DVD, so again, you talking out of your arse.
Get over it, there will be a retail edition, and the game will be pirated.

i don't remember an only steam game with the original retail installer that let u install the full game and then play. maybe only lost planet HATRED but it worked?

Vengeance release of hl 2 don't have the retail installer. it's just an homemade iso with steam extracted files and a custom installer like all steam games. this probably will get a such treatment

i know that there is the offline option but u have to be online anyway or u can't get steam running to download full games and upload them then. SO STEAM DON'T WORK IF U DON'T HAVE A CONNECTION WITH GOOD SPEED THEN. the proper retail installer is steam but u can't install it with a pirated copy.

Yes, online once, then when they have cracked the game, they use A GOD DAMN EMULATOR, to make the game think steam has verified it, hence, never even using steam, THAT IS RUNNING THE GAME INDEPENDENTLY from steam because the game thinks steam is running.
Hence, game works, does not require an internet connection, game cracked.
