how the hell do you beat the sniper part? im playing on the hardest difficulty and if I move an inch the guy just nails me right through walls, i wait and wait on the right side for him to pop up in 1 of the 2 visible windows but if i steady my weapon he never pops out yet as soon as it starts swaying as if i were on a boat in 50 foot seas he pops out and kills me

Go to the window on the side of where you are, should give quite a good cover of your position but you need to be quick, zoom (Don't hold your breath.) and scan the windows for movement, take cover and wait for the shot (You can dodge it if you're fast.)

Problem is that it's a scripted encounter and you need to hit him two or three times no matter how good your aim is. (Holding your breath can help but I didn't find it useful as you need to be pretty quick in order to avoid being shot and the sway from recovering is pretty severe.)

Beat the game on hard a while ago and am replaying on veteran now, fun game and very intense. Smile
(Also checked the console a bit on my second playtrough, seems there's some unused - atleast for the SP part - weapons like a .357 revolver and a alien ray-gun but getting the console to work was pretty cumbersome as you'd need to use the CoD 4 "ThereIsACow 1337 command but also the mapname command followed by devmap "mapname" in order to have the console fully unlocked, has to be repeated for each map as well.)

That's true, I needed to do this on Vista x64, dunno if it works without this though. I'm using hamachi 1.0.1.5 - I had no luck with 1.0.3.0. You start the server with RLD crk and other player joins using the fix.

OK, so I installed the game. Seems to be running just fine on Vista x86. Settings maxed out, 1680x1050 with aax4, around 40 fps, which is pretty much satisfcatory Smile.

No crashes, no glitches. I'm missing, however, this awesome atmosphere from Modern Warfare... >.<

Is there a way to avoid the game trying to connect online?. Besides disconnecting the net, of course.

Problem is, it doesn't try to connect to a domain (the typical masterserver), but to a concrete IP, and routing it to my local IP it takes 20-30 seconds until it stops trying (even in offline mode). Yeah, it isn't going to kill me, but I'd prefer it didn't.

Damn, I hate when games call home without being told to do so.

Yes its free delivery world wide. I get all my games from play.com and I live in Denmark. Delivery says world wide on their site and Ive never been charged anything but the price for the game.

Cracked servers are starting to appear, and weirdly ranks and unlocks work and are saved, probably in the offline config file. I'm buying this anyway but this temp fix until I do is nice Smile

I found this has more atmosphere as soon as I had landed my first airstrike.

That's weird, but it's going to be fucking hilarious when the system deletes your progress... Like when some users in here lost their saves
