should rather be in the movie forums then here. if they are not a scene group, then not much scene discussion we can have about them ;)
anyway, is this just the dvd encoded as x264 or actually from a hd-source? the dirname would suggest the former, which would be pretty pointless and lame considering that the xvid and dvdr are already out.

If you indeed are one of the devs of x264, you really should be against piracy, or at least publicly appear so, just like the Divx dudes and later the Xvid dudes.

Actually I'm not one of the x264 developers since I haven't submitted any patches, and besides, the devs are a lot more capable at tweaking and improving a mature encoder than I am.
Even though I'm not a dev you're still right, I should be against piracy. But I haven't found any other group that uses CRF mode and HQ sensible settings.
So I guess I'm a temporary fanatic of that group since I think that's the way it should be done.
For all I know they could just be one person or a few people who encoded from the DVDRs that were released, which is what I do.
Even so, I can't help but commend them for using x264 in the proper way imo.
