How does it compare graphically with the pre patch Resident Evil 4 port ? Just as shitty ? Better ? Worse ?

Because from the sound of it it doesn't look that great visually and that sucks because i'm a huge SH fan Sad . I'm not exactly a graphic whore but lighting , shadows and nice visuals add a lot to a third person horror game imho (see : Dead Space).

And no AA , even if forced ? That's a FAIL of epic proportion........

it doesn't look that bad, if you don't get too close to things.
but the transition to the other world is awful. those stripes coming off the walls look so pixelated that it feels like staring upclose at something from doom 2 Laughing

This is times better than AitD, PC controls are great, looks pretty good too. Textures aren't the most detailed ever but great lighting and shadows makes up for it. Maybe my opinion is biased because I'm not a graphics whore like all of you. Razz

hi renamed the file still no joy , it plays maybe a second or 2 of the vid and then freezes , i can alt tab out so i know the pc hasnt crashed and i can play the video completely using the player just not ingame. Anyother solutions ?

Minimum specs is a dual core so that could be the problem Very Happy I have a AMD 64 to Laughing

Cheathappens has one made and it works just fine from what I've tested but it's exclusive to subscribing members and isn't scheduled to be released to the public.
(Normally trainers are exclusive for about four weeks before they're made public, haven't seen one on Gamecopy/Gameburn either, unsure about other cheat sites such as Megagames.)

Beat 2/3 of the game, got fed up and shift-deleted it. Mediocre game imo. Typical SH atmosphere and great ambience tho. But is boring and as i progressed it became even more dull to me. And it's like SH1 with better graphics.
Dead Space is the survival horror winner this year. Wink

Seem to be having a big problem with save games for this, when I try to load one, none of my mapped keys will work, even if I try to remap them, I have to delete my save folder to get back key functionality. So unless anyone has any idea how to solve this, the only way I can play this is to play nothing else and not turn off my PC until I finish it.

Just use the default key mapping. One of the game's major advantages is the controls.
At start i thought the controls would suck. But eventually they ended up being quite nice. Smile

Just played a bit, like 1hour.
great game, much more easier in terms of difficulty and theres quite a few places to save the game, not like the previous silent hill games and thats what was keeping me out , playing silent hill games.
playing with x360 gamepad, and everything works ok.
graphics are ok, and imo the athmosphere is great, you almost dont see any shit in front of you.

so far 8/10 game, imo.

I guess that makes us four now. Do you guys have a Creative sound card?
Well the port seems to have other problems as well, like fucked up audio channels if you're playing in stereo. Rolling Eyes

No sound issues here with Audigy 2, nor in CoDWaW.
