What, the dude isn't allowed to compare 2 games? WTF? I thought this was the gaming forum. My bad.

That's also correct, once you outrank enemies far enough the target circle under them will turn white and you won't get much XP from them anymore, normally though you'll have to level quite a bit to outrank enemies. (Silver has the enemy difficulty capped to between 50 and 60 for most areas I've visited with a somewhat modified character due to alterations in the balance.txt file.)
Similarly I believe it'll turn red when you are outranked by the enemy and it also gives a XP bonus to defeat such a high level foe.
(Bosses and certain special enemies for example.)

First of all I have just bought the game and have purposely not followed this thread to save any spoilers.
I have a very basic question which i'm sure I have overlooked the answer to in the manual.
Anyway I have started as a shadow warrior and just reached level 5. Now I love the rune idea and so far have memorised a few. However I just cannot work out how to 'activate' my chosen rune during combat I have dragged it into the appropriate slot. I dont have time to fire up the game atm but its part of the astral lore and a skeletal hand (at least if i remember rightly)
I am probably overlooking something extremely simple, So a simple answer would be great
How exactly do I activate my chosen rune during combat.. As i have trawled through the manual with not luck. or is it a random spell that requires no activation?
Cheers |
Left click does an weapon attack
Right click uses your "rune" or combo attack.
The circles on the left side are your weapons, the circles on the right are for runes/combos.
During combat, you can switch between your spells (runes) by the keys "1, 2, 3, 4"
(switch between weapons by f1-f4)
Unfortunately, I quit playing a week ago. I loved sacred 1 but sacred 2 was just too boring for me. The recent patch added some new portals, so that might help a little tiny bit. I expected the boss/dragon fights would be something special, they aren't. |
Thankyou
I have actually tried that but nothing happens.. Will have a go later on, the ctrls do seem somewhat unresponsive.

That is also my experience.
If you have the international edition, joining others' games is a pain in the ass because usually the creator doesn't speak english. If you have the US edition, hardly anyone is actually playing online.

Spoiler: |
Note to ViTALiTY:
We would like to thank you for doing a proper of madagascar. Thanks to your
212x smaller crack it now runs 212x faster and we can run it on our
Commodore 64.
We do fully rebuilt cracks when it's needed and unlike ViTALiTY we can also
crack more difficult games, such as Red Alert 3, Crysis Warhead, Dead Space
or Sacred 2 - not only the most simple securoms like Madagascar, which have
no special features and are about as hard to crack as UPX. |
good point. thanks Reloaded !

If you like hack and slash games yes. If you liked the first Sacred yes.
Takes quite the rig to run it at its full potential though. . . especially when there are lots of baddies or giant boss monsters on the screen.

================================================================================================================
Sacred 2: Fallen Angel is the second full game in the Sacred series.
It is a prequel which takes place 2,000 years before the events of
Sacred. Like its predecessor, the game takes place in a fantasy setting.
A new game engine means that the game is rendered in perspective
correct 3D, whilst retaining the viewpoint found in older isometric games.
Video game designer Bob Bates has been involved in its production. The
game also includes a video sequence with the power metal band Blind
Guardian, who also made a theme song for the game.
Classes
There are 6 playable fixed-gender classes, each of which has different
class-specific equipment and animations that are dependent on the
weapons being wielded. Maximum character level will be at least 200.
* Seraphim : The Seraphim is the only class from Sacred that
appears in Sacred 2: Fallen Angel. She embodies all that is good,
therefore she can only play the Light path.
* Shadow Warrior : An elite warrior, returned to life against his
will after
his death on the battlefield.
* High Elf : A student of magic, freshly emerged from the academy
ready to explore the world and expand her knowledge
* Dryad : Adept at ranged combat, nature magic and voodoo.
* Temple Guardian : Cyborg creature - adept at the mechanical and
technological arts.
* Inquisitor : He embodies all that is evil, therefore can only play the
Shadow path.
Mounts
Players will be able to use horses as they could in Sacred 1, for
transportation as well as in combat. Each class will also get access
to a special unique mount type via a quest. Special mounts can also
be used for transportation as well as battle.
Quests
Ancaria is full of a variety of quest types. Current figures indicate that
there will be 100 core campaign quests as well as hundreds of side
quests. The side quests will include character specific quests, as well
as quest related to the specific deity you choose when creating your character.
Customization
Character customization is accomplished in a variety of ways. In addition
to choice of using a mount or not, and if so which, there is a wide
variety of equipment and weapon types. Players will also be able to
modify their class specific combat arts (ex: magic spells). An example
of customization in combat arts is modifying a lightening spell to either
strike with more force, or strike with slightly less force but chain out
to additional enemies.
