I have pushed the above post to here where it belongs in an attempt to get some clarity regarding the frame rate issues many people get.
Has anyone been able to burn and play disk 1 without frame rate issues as battle commences and during?
Also, the game is very hard on the dvd drive, constantly thrashing it, if anyone can confirm they have avoided these issues please let us know including the solution.

update: Someone stated installing the game using NXE and having no frame rate issues but my understanding was that installing games to the hdd just improved initial booting times NOT in game loading times?

Why would you assume that ? I'd assume it improves all loading times, since it doesn't have to read from the dvd.
