pop ups , stutterings and framerate issues - are not existent , blame your dvd drive and not the game .... didn't you read the box back cover "made for NXE"
so did you play it with nxe and hdd install?
@solid-snake: nxe=new xbox experience (dashboard update, allows you to install games like on the ps3)
But does that means that those that don't have HDD in Xbox will not be able to play the games properly ? It seems kinda stupid to me.
On PS3 at lest i can uninstall an older game or demo, but i don't get a worse experience than other players.
What the hell..? So, can anyone with HDD confirm that the game has none of these issues ?
yes... all fluid here... no stuttering and textures load very fast. must be your drive failing. or bad dvd media. reburn at lower speed. im on benq btw. 8x speed

So you're saying you have none of these issues shown in these clips, like pauses and low frames ?
...that's how it runs for me, my other games run ok on my xbox (gta4 runs with no pauses, Ninja Gaiden 2, DMC4 run very well), so it can't be my drive, i guess the NXE wasn't in the vids and you really need it it seems.

10x
yes i can confirm the framerate is shit! texture pop in sucks too i installed the game to my NEW 120gb HDD and the game runs like shit! that must be a joke
textur popins are annoying and have nothing to do with the DRIVE“s because i installed the game
played the game for a bit yesterday
first impressions:
graphics: Ok, but I too get the texture popins
story: so far it's your run of the mill standard story but it's tolerable
combat system: turn based which is good for me^^ I haven't fully grasped the whole system it seems pretty cool though. you can flank you enemies and such. Also you can automate the quick time events during battle.
sound: no Japanese voices the engl dub is ok I guess.
gameplay: here is some stuff I like:
- You can save almost anywhere.
- There seems to be side quests.
- You get healed after battle.
- no random battles ( you can see the mobs on screen)
- Later on you can hire new people for your troops
- You can "tag" enemies and fight them together to get more xp? items? reduce loading times?
- Sometimes your party members can use the dropped items to improve their stuff
So far I really enjoy it. Hope the story picks up and there are a lot of side quests with cool rewards. Can anyone confirm there is some kind of crafting in the game? Some items say in their description "used for bread" so I though maybe I can craft that later. It definitely has potential to be a good game. Oh and don't hate the game because of the texture popins/stutterings, Mass Effect had it too and while it is annoying and takes the immersion away it's not a game breaker(for me).

After reading your post I burnt the game again at 2x and it was FAR worse.
During the cut scene's the drive chugs like mad and as soon as the game moves to in-game combat it's a nightmare: the frame rate STOPS completely as it tries to handle the texture load!
So I then booted the game on a brand new 360 and guess what? Exactly the same, so it can't be 'bad media' or 'failing dvd drive', I always use verbs and as mentioned a brand new 360.
In your post you mention XBE and no frame rate issues however if you type 'frame rate issues the last remnant' into google it throws back tons of links on the subject from gaming websites as part of their review process.
IGN:
'The Last Remnant's frequent penchant to take its time cranking out frames of animation. The action would stutter during every battle. The choppiness is troubling (especially considering that the same issue seemed to crop up in Square Enix's last RPG.'
Bispoo: Did you install it to the hard drive and at what speed did you burn it?
Also: Are you saying you have no frame rate issues as battle commences, during and drive chugging throughout?

I now have installed it to the disk, the loads are so fast i cannot read the "Information" on them, battles take 3 seconds the moment i press RT, to the actual fight.
when i change locations in city, the textures take 2 secs max to show up, (the most noticeable one being the Whole floor texture)
ive burned this on cheap media, Mitsai at 4x. no matter now as its installed. as im not that far into the game yet, the battles are not yet big ones, so no, i dont have frame rate issues for now, and in the first big battle, there were some slowing, but minor... Point: im enjoying the game very much. ITS PLAYABLE!

to may knowledge it should be with this game , the Jap xbox box has the NXE on the back and that this game was made for the NXE ... maybe this version is a reviewers leak with no NXE ??

OMFG yes Dagger pred now reviews like seed4me
and you are allways 100% sure .... dude its not the old scene but the new , when the release groups don't give a shit about it , only care about the +1 for the ego and the new title they sell on pirated reprinted discs
Installed it on NXE today, much better, there's still texture pop in but it's only for like a second now. Battles are smooth finally, but still a few frame rate issues (nothing drastic like before). Loading only takes a second or two.

and say it again fool! the framerate is horrible @18 fps and lower
Dude, did you bother reading.
AFTER installing it to NXE you get a much smoother run, I've got retail, installed on NXE and I don't have anything close to as bad as what's in that video. The problems that are being had are due to people not installing it, it still blows that your only choice to avoid the problem is a hefty install, but the FACT of the matter is once installed the problems are a hell of alot less noticeable.
Read the whole post next time buddy.
installation doesn't FIX the bad framerate and popins... and YES i tested it from HDD AND DISC!
nobody said installing to HD fixes it. But it certainly improves it a bit
texture popins are still there but gone faster(subjective)
loading times are faster (definitely)
framerate is better but not great (subjective)
Having read Bispoo's posts with interest I invested in a 120gb hdd for my ban-hammered 360 and updated to the NXE.
As soon as I installed the game to the HDD and started a new game I immediately found to my delight that both the cut scenes and in-game battles no longer suffer from any issues.
On top of that it is a wonderful feeling not to have listen to the dvd drive chug away!
