Has anyone seen Pi (1998)? Since it's from the director of requiem for a dream it might be worth looking for (I couldn't find it on my first search)? Can anyone share his/hers opinion on this movie?

It is thought provoking I’ll tell you what. You can rent it at any video rental place. And it is well worth the money heck you might even be ripping of the rental place by paying mere nickels and dimes for the movie. Requiem for a dream is more of an ongoing music video. It’s not a bad movie by all means but it’s been music televisionized aka mtvized (if you get my drift) Pi is a bit more sophisticated and a tad intriguing. So go rent it I have lots and lots and lots of shitty movies on my playlist to watch and pi won’t be on for another week or two and I’ve seen it while back. I think it was after I saw requiem I wanted to see pi and I did.

pi is a really good movie and requiem for a dream is on my top list of good movies. i've allready seen it 7 times and I never get bored

Well if you do watch it after seeing requiem you will be very, very, and greatly disappointed. It doesn't have the je ne sais quois, the finesse that requiem had. But never the less it is still a worthy movie

requiem for a dream is an amazing movie, not much movies that make that kind of impact on me... I'd like to see Pi soon too, need to search for it sometime

It took me like 50 mins to download requiem for a dream, and it took me like 50 seconds to erase it.... Im not really into the LYNCH-style crap movies. Watch Mechanist About Hitman: Movie (2007) Vin Diesel is a hardcore gamer, and absolutely loves the Hitman series. For that reason I have faith that he wont destroy the movie. Response: Well, Uwe Boll probably loved the Alone in the Dark games.

Requiem is dark-ish Lynch is dark-ish Requiem is lynch-ish you have to re-watch lynch's movies or have some profound understanding of the human psyche I have trouble watching lynch's movies After watching them I go what the fuck We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year, running over the same old ground. Lynchs' movies are described as: confusing, weird, not making sense (on first sight), "artsy" right, they are also dark (but take a look at "the straight story" ) but that's not the first thing that comes to mind when thinking of a Lynch movie. Requiem wasn't confusing at all, but instead incredibly direct, and sad.
