for me the game crashes after every mission playing 10 minutes or so
maybe ill buy it later, fucking bots are dumb as hell, too

they are good , but when you get pinned by a hunter they react faster ut when near you they just look like retards whenthat guy is killing you

I think the game crashed because of no-steam version. If you run the cracked-steam version (very easy to do), then it never crashes.

Yes, haven't had a crash at all, and I haven't disabled features like AA and SMP support. If you guys want, I can write a guide on how to run from steam.

What's so hard about using cracked steam to launch the game ? And I mean the exact game content, 100% unaltered files.

Well, it doesn't have to be the Skidrow release, it should work with any release, as long as the "left4dead.exe" is there.

There are 10 new engine.dlls relased every few minutes. You can sit 24/7 on cs.rin.ru and be as awesum as VGAdeadcafe knowing all about steam  .

I have a problem with this game. The screen freezes very often for a few seconds then everythings back normal again. I am sure its not HDD issue (4 gb ram) and not my video card (280 gtx), probably new nvidia drivers i installed make the game freeze? I have the same problem with NFS Undercover, but in L4D it happens much more often.
Anyone else have this problem and has 180.48 drivers installed?

Crikey, I played with Duke Nukem himself earlier - well EvilMonkey actually, but the guy definitely has a pair of lungs on him Helped us finally completed Blood Harvest only to miss out on the achievement because of a small disconnection at the start. I hate that!
Some good games with the NFOrce group though.

That might be me. I saw him in the cornfields but it didn't register immediately so I shot him to the ground, revived him and then - because I was so jumpy - shot him again for good measure

don't forget to mention setting the tank on fire a lot of times while i'm trying to get away and accidentally throwing the molotov in my path. YAY! 
But at least we weren't stuck in the closet.

Thats cool, I'll give it a try soon. It still needs a working server browser, right now openserverbrowser doesn't do anything. Proper game setup would be nice too. In TF2 LAN they did a really nice job and included many custom menus and tweaks, in contrast L4D's release is pretty minimal.
