					| |
					| i went on and flashed the bios on my shuttle media machine because it didnt recognize the gfx card properly , well wouldnt you have thought , it froze in mid process , now the machine doesnt even output any video , so im forced to wait till the replacement chip arrives from germany. if only shuttle had a recovery feature as intel does . damn chinese cutting costs so i have to pay 20 euro and wait a week . the fuckers .
oh btw , i later found out that it was a bad jumper block which caused the gfx issue , so i didnt need a bios upgrade afterall.

all this just to cut cost! and i had a nice little weekend plan to setup the machine properly during the weekend , now im bored and a bit ill .

companies dont cut costs at supposedly premium products !!!

					| Yeah man. Bios flashes still make me super nervous. I watch it progress like a damn hawk and the slightest pause causes me to go nuts.

					| Next time try to get a board with a crash-free BIOS (dual bioses etc.)! Saves you a lot of grief.

same here, when it comes to critical/expensive shit, i get someone who is certified to play with it and if they fuck it up, they are responsible and I dont incurr any extra cost (Id rather pay some A+ tech guy at a store to do it for me and I can do it and have, but I wont with my current comp, way to many expensive parts and such).

					| im still waiting for the replacement chip to arrive .
the big irony is , that the gfx card because of which i flashed the bios turned out to be defective .
