A lot of ppl here also buy games, so your post/thinking is garbage.

Anyway, this has been discussed a trillion times already, drop the subject like it's hot.

I buy like 3/4 of the games I foredownload. I do this solely because my country is so much retarded in terms of delivering games on time that I hate waiting for proper releases and hence I need to find a way to play the game beforehand. The last I downloaded and then bought was Dead Space.

I know, some may say that it's genuinely wrong to do things in this manner, but IMHO it;s still better if I buy the game later on rather than just download it, state that it's crap and delete it.

So, I'm one of those who buy games,

and, NFOhump is NOT a warez forum for Christ sake.

Guy from the Youtube video confirmed that the game is around 16 GB in size.

So it's 2 dual layer DVD's.

I treat downloaded games as extended demos or just demos if the game doesn't have one.

I mean-I played first 2 missions of Dead Space and then I bought it. I played first 3 kills of Assassin's Creed and I didn't buy it because it was so repetitive. I played Far Cry 2 and I didn't buy it because it was even more repetitive. And so on, and so on.

I bought every GTA game though, as I would like GTA series to be continued on PC, as it's the best platform for it.

shitty drivers with ring 0 access, spywares and all shitwares (that R* is trying to make people thing you can get by applying a crack, even though they are installing shitwares on our computers) they are still installed, even with a crack

I pre-ordered the game and dont really mind activating it online because i can understand from a companys point of veiw that all their doing is protecting their investment... SIMPLE.

Nomatter what the game WILL be cracked, so they should know by now that they're infact not "protecting their investment", infact they are just imposing ridiculous rules on their customers, and they are also installing software which may have an adverse effect on their customers machines.

A pirate does not have to concern himself with that, the game is cracked, he doesn't need to install securom, he doesn't need to be unable to backup his games, he doesn't need to worry about disks or activations.

At best a company will prevent a pre-release, unless it's a new kind of copy-protection, but even that could be done just minimal brain activity, and without any kind of DRM. In the end people just get scared to buy games, and that hurts their business rather than "protect" it.

Stardock said it best, build your game with piracy in mind.

Well, truth to be said, Starforce was one damn shit some years ago and it did have a crappy effect on one's machine.
This time and date we have securom which so far failed like any time it was being used and proved us nothing except for the fact that companies that use it left their brains somewhere in wardrobe before they got to work. >.<.

Epic fail if you ask me, and especially since the best games this autumn are being protected in the most ridiculous and user-unfriendly way ~.~. Who cares if the game is pirated, If I buy one I expect it to install flawlessly and without any problems. Say that to R.

Just hope that UBI won't be d---s when implementing some harsh stuff into upcoming PoP.

I completed the PS3 version and for me the worse was the lack of AA. GTA IV on consoles is a jaggies galore to the point where i had to drop my HDTV sharpness to 0. Im not a graphic whore but that was really distracting and sort of killed the immersion a bit for me.

Hopefully the PC version will support AA without being a performence rapist. Razz

The [Rockstar] studio also noted, in an ominous tone, that "using a cracked copy of GTA IV PC will result in varying changes to the game experience," explaining that "these can range from comical to game-progress-halting changes."

Well, reading this I can only think of Mass Effect (including it's "galaxy map" and "save" "bugs" and ultimately the not cracked patch + add-on).

And it's not that encouraging, tbh.

I almost see our protagonist, Mr. Niko, stoping in the middle of the action with an AK47 in his hands, turning around, facing the camera and yelling at you: "God bless America! Now go buy the game, you stupid pirate!"

Smile

Given rockstars track record it's more likely it could result in the players weapons turning into dildo's or something silly like that.

Well, if one considers remembering GTA SA, that thing happening wouldn't be really that much out of the ordinary. Razz

Just click HERE for dildo GTA fun.

And yes, for those that didn't know, that thing IS a dildo and it IS in the original game.

Did you know that the ps3 version ran at like 620p or something like that, looked really awfull Laughing

I mean the game itself looked pretty sweet but the resolution was horrible...

Heres is the list in the File known as: 'Files.txt':
