I can play the game ok-ish on C2d 6420, 8800GT, 2gb ram, Vista 32 but it runs just a little too slow for me to actually enjoy it, that was on roughly medium settings all round. I thought i'll just play it on the lowest quality until we see some optimisations in drivers or a patch but when i tried to lower a few things, no increase. I tried setting everything to low, and the game plays just a little too slow to actually become playable.
There's definitely something wrong here, not just a badly coded port. Both my cpu cores are pegged at 100% at all times and so is my ram usage, quality settings seem to change the quality but the game always runs 'just a litttle too choppy' no matter what i set them on.

Heh rockstar social club is offline now, so if you bought the game and didn't register it through the social club and want to play multiplayer, well tough luck

Well.... im getting a little bit sick of this game
After reinstalling because the game wouldnt start after installing the windows live update i finally enterd the game. It was running descent on medium.... but i missed the minimap and some other things that should be there. Now i restarted the game and now i can't see anything no more.
I only see my car and a meter around it. The rest is black.
Pffffffffffff.... now looking for some driver updates but i hardly believe there are any.
Nivida 7950 GX2
E6600 @ 3.2 Ghz
2 GB DDR
Empty again

I made the game work on my system by, get this, pulling the plug of my second screen, just disabling it wasn't enough. The fact that you have to mess about with your system like this to make a game work is hilarious.

The nfo is still not coming, Here in Holland is the local time 8:33PM.
I will have to wait to tomorrow so if there has still no nfo tonight I'm gonna buy it...
