what do you mean? the black bars?
its like ass creed, the engine is the same.
it doesnt bother me, but yes, it wide resolutions has black bars on this game.

this is the best snowboard game i played for sure.
there 4 BIG mountains avaliable, in 4 different countries.
you can go to the highest place of montain by helicopter if you want, there are avalanches on the game lol, if you make alot of noise, an avalanche is created.
you can interact with other npc´s on the game, to do races etc, customize your avatar, buy new stuff etc, save replays.
there are CO-op avaliable but only in online mode it seems.
the only thing that bothers me is the missing resolutions, and no option for AA.
8/10 game for me.

Actually it works pretty well on LAN ...I tried playing with a friend as soon as I finished installing it and it works great through Hamachi.
Free open world and a few friends and it's a pretty nice game. SNOW BALL FIGHT!!! says it all. 
They could have tweaked the controls a little bit more(damn console port)but I can say that I haven't had this much fun since Supreme Snowboarding first came out on PC.

i like the game too:)
played 30 min's or so and i loved the jumps and the tricks. i can't tell about older skating games, cause i don't play this games usualy, but this one is cool, after watching the trailers, i decided to get it and it's cool.

yeah its even better to play games with friends, nice to know it works in LAN mode.
play with gamepad ! im using a x360 gamepad, and its great !

Yeah this game surprised me. It's a lot of fun, didn't get to spend a lot of time with it today, but the time I did spend was pretty quality.

Heh...apparently the game's diagnose tools have problem detecting dual-core processors. I downloaded it, installed, and the thing gave me an "all-green" on the requirements (saying everything exceedes the reccommended config) but no matter what, the game kept giving me a black screen right after the ubi logo. Then I checked the minimum specs and it said at least a dual core is needed.
It seems the thing only checks if the CPU is fast enough, but not if it's dual or single core.

Will the game work after installing the update? coz iam having some slowdowns and the update might fix it..
edit: directx sound acceleration is causing this.. is there a way to disable sound acceleration just for this application?

no, if you disable , you disable for all aplication theres no way to disable only for one aplication.

I got 3 resulutions.
However i found reg entrys with resolution, AntiAliasing, and some mo values.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ubisoft\ShaunWhiteSnowboarding\1.0\Engine
"Antialiasing" = set at 0 by default
"ScreenResolutionHeight" , 768
"ScreenResolutionWidth" , 1024
Resolution works i got mine @ 1280x960 right now, But antialiasing value dint do shit for me,
mayb it does for u guyz.

I did force it in my nvidia control panel, dint do anything.
combining with diff AA reg value's, no luck either.

game is just unpolished and boring though. Ran down each mountain one time and it's already boring. You can barely do any tricks and you automatically stick to rails like glue. Supreme Snowboarding was 10x better then this, it was at least fun and kept you playing unlike this garbage.
It's got no sense of speed either, you crouch down and rush down the mountain but it feels like you're skidding down the kids slope on a unpolished snowboard on gravel.
The quarterpipes are bugged like hell too, you come at full speed but you almost immediately speed down once you go up the pipe, realistically you would fly to hell but in the game it's like theres some invisible rubber band that stops you from using the pipe to its full potential.
For you guys who think this is the Skate of snowboarding you can just skip the download, it's not got even an inch of the same gameplay or longevity as Skate. It just feels like a cheap arcadey rushed snowboard game.

i mean, the game is quite well made and the mountains don't get boring too fast cause you have different routes and the whole rushing down from the peak thing reminds me of the days when i still had the balls to do that in real life.
but there is just no sense of speed...even when you're going down a steep part, it still feels like you're on the kiddy slope. and even worse, no momentum - they completely messed up the whole jumping part. maybe it gets faster when you get the better boards, who knows. and the music is shit too. when i go down a mountain, i want dnb/hiphop/metal pumping through my head, not this hippie shit.
if they really wanted to do a proper boarding game, they should just copy pure and replace the quads with boards, angle the tracks 45° down an make it all snowy. now that would be awesome.

you get better boards over the time.
dont know if you know this already, but theres a button to make the player go more faster.
therere alot of music tracks, you can change it in-game, but if you dont like any of the songs just turn off the radio, and open windows media player and listen to your songs....
