Like the guy said above you need to run the Games for Windows Live Updater
found here

Rename file GTAIVGDF.dll to whatever and it works fine.
no wobble after that

Even tho its gunna kill my knee (shattered it a year or 2 ago), gunna walk the half an hour to buy it. Dying to play mp since ive beatin the Single player mode 3 times.
My PS3 is to much of a hassle for me to hokk up to my comp as its across the room from my comp and I want the MP option badly plus the Social thing and the dlc content the will age plus the patches to fix bugs.
So rockstar makes another sale...buying the game twice...lol
And it looks way better on my comp as well
I suggest you guys buy it, MP is gunna kick ass!
Support Rockstar, they make the best games 
Even tho alot of their games are banned in alot of countries, they still make off beat/risque/pushing the limit games and i think they are one of the few gaming companies that deserves support...from everyone (pirates included).
So if you cant afford to buy it right away, if your a kid/teen, ask for it for xmas. If your married/enggaged/have a gf, get her to get it for you for xmas. The SP is awesome and MP seals the deal.
Support Rockstar, they totally deserve every penny you pay. So SUPPORT Rockstar. 
And btw, Im dead serious.
Im not trying to sound like a fanboy, but RS deserves the money they charge for the game. Talented ppl who make awesome games.

Just a small recap of what I did and used.
Mind you I run VISTAx64 here so could be different for XP users.
1.Updated NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1
2.Updated Games for Windows Live
3.Got the Paul.ddl from Darkc0der (copied to main GTA folder and offline folder)
4. Got the crack from PROPER-X5l0V3R (copied the 2 files in to main GTA folder)
5.Blocked all entries of GTA/Rockstar in VISTA firewall
6.When asked to activate account in Windows Live, created Offline one.
Now this worked yesterday, just woke up here and will play some more in a min. If the camera wobble start again I will post.

well...i just moved GTAIVGDF.dll somewhere else and now the game is fine.been playing it for a while and so far no bugs.i'll report back if anything goes wrong

i firewall blocked my pc, and i didn't even get through the intro video a few minutes before the screen started to get drunk.
damn.
i hoped it would work. guess not.

Worked for a few other ppl i know that wanted to test the game out before buying. Suffice to say, me and my friends (online friends) are all buying it tomorrow

alright. this time i disabled my ethernet card from within windows xp

still fucked. This time the drunk vision came in during the cutscene where you get to the cousin's house

Block it in windows firewall. It will attempt to make a connected, block it and its fine man. |

I did everything cox said and I have the same OS and still the crazy camera ( Oh my fucking head hurts from it ) ,I bet these rockstar cunts are laughing there asses right now putting such "funny" triggers if using a pirated copy.
I have the clone DVD , syco do you have the 0x0008 release?

Dude, maybe its your gpu? If not, aside from a few preformance issues (like having to run at a low res (no make 1900 res), it works fine enough for me and with patches, it will be smoothed out.
Thats why I suggest buying it. So you have support and constant fixes. And who knows what kinda DLC they are gunna come up with.
69.99 + tax (80 bucks) is well worth it for this game...and I have the ps3 version. Only gunna keep the PS3 version so when I babysit my niece and nephews I have something fun to play (hard to play some MGS 4 while watching kids). |

Yep, 0x0008 release. Trust me, try my method and the lobo crack. Read what I wrote. Windows Live Updater with the link. Rename that .dll and it should work fine. Seriously tho, try my method. If mine and cox's method doesnt work, then play around with it. You'll get it. Search this thread if the methods dont work and find out what works and combine the different methods. Basically what i had to do.
And hell, Im no techie like cox ya know?

But seriously, buy the game. I dunno how old you are, but get your wife/gf/fiance to get it for you for xmas if need be. If your single, next time you get paid, buy it. So fuckin worth man. And you should know I dont go overboard when it comes to shit like this. So I really mean it.
I want everyone here to buy the game so we can have an Nfohump gang. That would be sick. 20+ of us driving down the street in good cars doing drive-by's How awesome and fun would that be? So much fun. I havent played MP yet, but I bet its a fuckin blast and a half
Hopefully, when I get it tomorrow nite, Ep will want to cause some mayhem on MP

its prolly your gpu bud. Your sys seems fine. But your gpu isnt strong enough I dont think for this game sadly to say, if your having trouble with it.
I have a 4870x2 2g so it runs fine on my.
Rest of my specs are 2.5ghz, 4gb ramp, vista 32 (i think), hd 4870x2 2gb (thanks to leo, he told me about the vid card), basically same as yours aside from gpu.
Still, if you havent got it going, try it out and if its smooth enough, play it to make sure nothing fucked up is going on, then for sure buy it man.
I can stress how much this game is worth buying. |
