Exactly. You need 8.11 for ATI or 8.12 (which ive read isnt stable so i would go with 8.11, game works fine).

Do have latest driver, 8.11. Not gunna use 8.12 till its final. Read some stuff and it can be unstable and dont want to take the chance. Plus, 8.11 works fine Smile

At first i thought that Niko was kinda flat character, but after playing a few missions and hearing his dialog he's a very likable character.

The ingame cutscenes are also very lively imho, with all the gestures people make when talking or listening.

Anyways, listening to Little Jacob always cracks me up Razz

I will try as soon as the download finishes. It makes sense they don't work because there is that silly Rockstar Club, which is probably another layer of protection.

Works like a charm here. And I had already used my key on another game.

Anyone tried driving with a steering wheel?

First create a Live account. When in game press "Home" to access Live menu and log in. It will most probably say that your key is invalid and ask you to enter a new one. Use the one you got from Sega.
After that create a Social Club account. When the registration is finished you'll be asked you to link your Live account to Social Club.
Launch the game using Fedor's crack (or whatever it is called) and log in R* Social Club with your newly created id. When the game starts log in Live.

Hope I've been of help.

Grand Theft Auto IV PC: How To Get A Refund

As we first revealed, the scale of the problems experienced by gamers who purchased Grand Theft Auto IV PC, is so unprecedented that Steam is refunding their customers on a case-by-case basis.

Now, thanks to reader caas, we show you how to claim your own refund, or as Valve puts it, "a one-time customer service gesture." To start, follow the instructions on how to submit a support ticket, then follow the general outline below:

Subject: Refund GTA 4 due to technical errors
Category: Billing Questions > Credit card
Product: Grand Theft Auto IV

Hello,

I would like to get a refund of my GTA 4 copy bought from steam. Due to technical errors I am unable to play the game. I meet the recommended PC specifications/requirements but I cannot login to Rockstar Social Club , I cannot start the game, it keeps crashing to the desktop giving no error message what so ever (even after all the activation processes). Rockstar does not have a forum, I can't fix the game with driver updates, I have all the latest drivers and programs.

Therefore due to no fault on my part I request a refund, I was given a faulty product.

Message by Valve Support

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Steam Support.

As requested, we have processed a refund to your account.

Your bank or credit card issuer will return the funds to your account - please allow 3-5 business days for the funds to be posted.

Please note in the future that Steam purchases, per the Steam Subscriber Agreement, are not refundable - this refund was issued as a one-time customer service gesture.

If you require any further assistance, please let us know.

If I use '-windowed -norestrictions', graphics settings are not saved. They always revert back to fullscreen and high. Very annoying that I every time I wanna play the game I need to change the resolution and other graphics settings.

Nvidia releasd new beta drivers (180.84) that should improve the performance.

Some people claim an increase of 10 to 15 fps.

Havent tried them myself yet.

Get them here.

Using those drivers will/may remove the ammo counter from your HUD.

I had to roll back to 180.60 to get it back. Performance is still just as good though. On my 8800GT anyway.

I loved every moment of his campaigns while playing it on 360. His enthused hyped up doped up attitude is so fucking hilarious.

Michael Hunter - Soviet Connection. It's a remix of this song. You can find it on youtube.
