Only a few people I know still have XP, majority is using Vista for a long time (and are very happy with it I must add).

Game is scheduled to be released Q4 2009 or something like that so things would be a bit different by then, still the majority of "gamers" would probably be XP users although by then Vista will probably have become even larger and W7 will also have launched unless MS delays it.
(It will take years until Vista outgrows XP, perhaps it won't until MS discontinues XP entirely or perhaps people will switch directly to Windows 7.)

im not going to use win vista anytime soon, im going to test the sp2 as soon it gets out, but the creative drivers are a mess for win vista.

Totally nonsense... the newest Creative Driver for Vista (i use Vista64 (!!) ) are perfekt... no problems at all!

I really didn't like the original game, for some reason. I tried to like it, tried to get into it, but something kept putting me off. Dunno why.
Either way, I'm looking forward to trying the sequel, heh.

If that footage is in-game.. then WOW. The thing is, the video says "Fall 2009" (gah, don't get me started...) but other sites say "July 2009" `So which is it? Either way, it just falls right into another of my pet-peeves ... games being announced 6-12 months before release, then hyped to shit in order to whip up a maelstrom of desire.

Your circle of friends != the rest of the world 
Besides, I'd wager the vast majority of Vista uptake is due to laptops which are typically unsuitable for playing something like Mafia 2 anyway. |

The big multinational games publisher I work @ right now has XP on all PCs over the world. They remove Vista from all new notebooks purchased and not because of costs or anything.

that just means pc/ps3 users are gonna get the end of the stick as far as gfx/quality, unless they put it on 2 or more DL dvds, lol.......360 and their lack of wantin to use bluray for games.....

Ever tried ALchemy? Works for getting hardware-accelerated sound in Vista -- and ALchemy Universal works for ALL soundcards, not just Creative ones either.

Saw the trailer on the Videogames award, cant FUCKIN WAIT! for this game....gunnna be awesome.

The only game Im gunna buy besides that is Terminator:Salvation...finallly, I get place as the resistance...hopefully, Im praying, you get to play as John Connor.

I made the switch to Vista x64 shortly after SP1 rolled out, and using ALchemy with my xFi card I've had no issues & everything sounds great.
I played thru Mafia again last winter, definitely a contender for my all-time favorite game. Can't wait for this one!

Aye, ALchemy was a fantastic piece of software for Creative/Vista users -- and ALUniversal is a fantastic piece of software for ANY use on Vista.
