Does anyone know how the import RB1 songs to RB2 feature works? do I have to be connected to live or is there a workaround? I heard something about having to pay or smth...

Haha, game says in the menu: Two new challenges available, hurry up with your highscore, the Europeans are gonna be here soon!
Prepare to get pwned by my 1337 pastique guitar skills Americans! Just FCed the first couple of Guitar Challenges on Expert, some great songs! Still like GH4s guitar gameplay better though, HOPOs are just tedious on RB.

can any1 explain how the rock band 1 song import works :
1) does it work if i have a pirated rock band 1 ?
2) does it import all the songs from rock band 1 or only the ones i bought
3) does it need a gold live subscription

Im guessing it only works if you have rockband 1 copied to your hard drive.
All the DLC i got for rock band 1 is avaidable to play in rockband 2.. as is all the DLC i got for guitar hero 3.. which now plays in world tour.

actually , i tried the export song thing in rb 1 , since im not banned yet , it cost 400 points but it works .
so the answer to my questions would be 1) YES , works with pirate 2) ALL the songs + DLC 3) NO , silver works too

Where did you find the download? I looked through the RB2 music store aswell as all the Live Addons for RB2, and nothing... or are you using the US version and it's just not available for the EU yet?

you have to go into rock band 1 , download latest update , in options there is export music . thats what does it .
im all EU , so it should work for you !

go to xbox.com and log in and transfer the titles to the clean deck you will have a year before you can do it agian.

The drums on the 360 at least are 100% compatible. Got mine in the US for rock band earlier this year and it works perfectly. Only paid about £35 for the drum kit at the time.

AC-DC.Live.Rock.Band.Track.Pack.PAL.X360-UNLiMiTED
is there a way to import the acdc tracks into rb2 without the code printed on the box?

That's how Harmonix wanted it to be - it's more realistic. Look at Guitar Hero 1 (and less so in GH2) - the HOPO's are much harder to do and have to be much more accurite. In GH3 onwards (Activision games), you can do any old thing and it'd still register the HOPO's.
