So...my GF bought this for me for Xmas. Gotta say, the new guitar design and feel is fabulous. I have a rockband 1st gen and doesn't feel nearly as good as the new design.
But anywho, the track list is awesome, all the free custom made songs online is awesome, the guitar is awesome, I love it.
Anyone know what the extra port on the bottom is for? looks like an ethernet port.

Finally bought myself a GH guitar. Wireless guitar + Legends of rock; even cheaper than a wireless guitar alone other places so a great special offer, not that I need the game tho :\
So guess ill keep the game laminated and try to sell it ^^

Well for those song packs, theres a couple for free on marketplace with the obvious selecetion you can over pay for. All the custom songs are in game menus. You go to some section in the ingame menu then go to custom songs then it brings up a very well done interface to browse through hundredes of custom songs

GF got mine for 85 on sale. The guitar and game bundle. They have a 2 guitar + game bundle for like 150 and the game guitar drumset mic combo is like 200
I also found out all the phone jack ports that's been coming on the guitars is for a future idea with using pedals. |

I don't think you can with Guitar hero but you can with Rock Band , which is a better game IMO.

I have the first one and the only thing that's good about it is the character customation. Other than that, the track list is horrible. World Tour has quite a few new gutiar techniques you can use now with their new guitar which is a lot of fun. |

Yeah. I suppose it comes down to musical taste. Don't get me wrong though i enjoy world tour and i love the WT guitar especially on the stone roses track (can't remeber the name of it lol) but i just think overall RB has a longer life span with the tour and challenges and i enjoy myself more when i play RB and there are quite a lot of similarities in the tracklist.

The thing Rockband has always had over GH is the drumkit and mic. With World Tour now they actually made their guitars better looking, better durability etc especially now that the drum kit is going to have double bass. I dunno if Rockband does this as I don't have the manual for it but you can plug a regular mic into a gamepad and use that for the singing mic. |

I prefer GH over RB song chart wise, GHs just are so much more exciting and fun. Rockbands are dull and monotonous most of the time. But we still play RB more on parties because there just are loads more songs (I also have a lot of DLC there).

i would have thought the same thing but now world tour has a studio song maker now where people are making their own nifty songs and you can download them for free. |

soo..it says I have like 10K in money but when I go to play the tool lineup it says I only have 6K available. wtf is that supposed to mean.

I got tricked by that one as well, if i remember correctly there are 2 counters, one that counts how much you've earned in total, and one that keeps track of how much you've got right now |

RB2 hasn't got a great song list IMO. Though it does have alice in chains.
