+1. I cried at the end scene...but then again I cry when watching Star Wars FFS " A New Hope" when Han tells Luke "You're all clear, kid, now let's blow this thing and go home!"

I browsed thru 3-4 pages and could not find it . . .
maybe you have it saved in your bookmarks, if yes, care to point me to the right thread ?

X Japan - Countdown Gig 31.12.2008
great show, very melodic, through the 3 hour concert they only played some 3 or 4 heavy songs, the rest was really slow, almost only Yoshiki on piano and Toshi singing.
the best Japanese new year countdown of 2008, that's for sure, (yeah saw almost all of them )

Vicky Cristina Barcelona - 7/10 I miss the old Woody Allen
Ghost Town - 8/10 I'm a big fan of Ricky Gervais (obviously). Something you can enjoy watching with the gf or wife or whatever.

The Village - 5/10. The Sixth Sense is probably the only good thing this Shyamalalan guy has done. Bryce Dallas Howard, the girl playing the main role, was probably the only great thing in this movie. And she's supposed to play Kate Connor in T4, great. I remember this movie getting great reviews back in 2004, maybe I'm mistaken.

I thought Unbreakable was good as well. But Sixth Sense and Unbreakable were it for me.

City of Ember- 7/10 - A good movie, has touches of what i consider fantasy and is perhaps geared towards the younger crowd but i feel it can be enjoyed by adults as well.

Babylon A.D 4/10
I watched the 101 minute long version.
One plus to the movie: Female lead incredibly pretty.
8 out of 10 dentists prefer zipfero to competing brands(fraich3 and Mutantius)!

Anyone compared the theatrical cut and the extended cut of Babylon A.D. yet?

No shit?
Wow. Who woulda guessed?
Just saying. . . it's good to watch with the kids but if you're looking for a good animated movie, this one isn't anything special. It's not terrible but it doesn't stand out either. I thought the rabbit was rather funny at times.

Benjamin Button - 9/10 - A bit lengthy and slow for a tearjerker, but the story and characters are brilliant. Reminds me of Forrest Gump. The environment and cinematography are excellent as well.

I actually liked igor. Didn't like the package it came with. Acting and animation were nice. Really nice. But the audio made it distant. Like you know the actors aren't in the movie. You don't have that with big animation movies like nightmare before xmas, or that burton shit corpse bride or even shrek or that Aardman movies shit. But in this one it was really noticeable. pissed me off a bit. But the story is cliche (meant to be), a lil bit 'political' but the dark humor of it is nice. It's not really a kids movie though. with all the death a destruction and pain and murder. But it's cute and cuddly. 7/10

I guess they sort a copied his style (characters I mean now)...or?
