The body "mods" for Fallout 3 are all based on various things compared to some of the mods for Oblivion, was the same for TES IV at first actually before the bigger body modifications came along.
One is based on Exnem as seen with the texture file which is just darkened a bit, another one is based on a partial nude model from HL2 Fakefactory pack as seen on the model itself and it's texture file (Compared and they're much to similar.)
Others are based on the default model so what I use are modifications that use the beta models that are part of the .BSA files but has the underwear clothing removed defaulting to the texture based underwear (Pretty good looking but not as "baggy" as the default vault sterile clothing or whatever they're supposed to be. (There's a bit of unused content, someone found a molotov cocktail and made it into a grenade weapon, Cryolator was also found but in very unfinished condition, lastly someone found a super-stimpack model and turned that into a working "drug")
There's mods for everything for F3 by now, quite a bit of sex and stuff (There's a few prostitution mods and one even allows bestiality <- Finally a good use for Dogmeat eh.) but also everything from simple item additions to bigger additions like new guns (Older classics from F1/F2 and new stuff like the G3 or Colt 1911 and then there's various world modifications going from everything to simple redecorations to totally new looks for the wasteland like trees and clean water to different weather sets - too much to list actually and there's probably over a thousand mods by now all in all on the TesNexus site alone.)

Has any group released a english version of the game? RELOADED is the russian version which won't work with Fallout Script Extender (required by many new mods).
Gonna buy it eventually though, but would be nice to try some of the FSE-mods before that.. Just found a mod that adds sprinting to the game, i really missed that.

If i remember correctly, Oblivion had the same shit.
Some sort of exe check in this mod tool.
I could still bypass it with a mini image.
Dont know if its the same thing here.

No because some mods require that you download FOSE that has some really nice extra scripts not included in the game.. FOSE is not compatible with the russian version, or the D2D version.

So I decided to play this game again and wanted to use some mods I patched the game and now I can't run the launcher to select mods or change my video settings. Is there anyway around this?
Every time I try to run it catches Daemon tools.

Started playing for the first time yesterday with a few mods. So far so good.
Had a bit of a hard time figuring out how to install mods but it turned out I was just making things look more complicated than they actually are.

LIVE said there's a update available, normally use FoMM (That mod manager utility) which disables LIVE integration but ran it normally this time.
(FOSE, that script extender program also disables LIVE, obviously it won't be compatible with the updated version either.)
EDIT: Ripped it from "C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\XLive\Updates\425307d6" before it installed, it's the 1.1 patch, will post more info as I go trough it.
EDIT: 48 MB by the way.
EDIT: Installs "Marketplace" first, used for DLC's and such like on the console.
(Think I linked to it previously.)

It's also a shame that FOSE (FallOut Script Extender) disables LIVE, as there's a few mods out there that make explicit use of FOSE - but I won't disable Live until I've gotten all the PC achievements, hehe.

Cheat, haha.
(Well that's up to you of course but it works.)
More seriously the reason why it disables LIVE is just as with GTA IV (And other LIVE games.), LIVE adds a few protections and among those memory protections to allow alterations and hooks like those FOSE uses, can also mess with certain trainers and other applications.
Easiest method is to bypass it or simply disable it if possible, more cumbersome methods would be to work around LIVE and reverse engineer it to make the program "compatible" with it.
EDIT: Changelog.

I would, but I want the achievement points to go onto my profile, hehe. Easiest gamerscore, as there's nothing really "achievement" based - just progression via quest and certain karma levels.

The console or the commands from it doesn't disable or block achievements, used the save/load commands myself to get all level related achievements. (Save the game, alter karma somehow, level up, gain achievement, load game and repeat process for all three levels, good, neutral and evil.)

Oooh, that's actually not a bad idea! They annoyed the piss out of me on the 360 - because it effectively means you have to play through 3 times (level-based achievements for reaching said level with good/neutral/bad karma)
Thanks, man!

of course. Just make sure you have the original exe in the folder and not the crack. As far as I know and in my experience you cant patch over a cracked exe cuz the exe is different than the real one obviously
tho I think I have encountered a few games you could
but to be on the safe side, use the real exe

As someone who owns this for his PS3, It was a fantastic game without mods. Loved every minute I was playing and it's sad to see it over.

note that may come usefull.i asked about patch cause i was having ctd, i did patched the game but guess what, to no avail. seems is no game bug or patch related solution is the new nvidia 181.20 driver thats cousing this, some people say lowering water fixes the problem but vats is also compromised. back to old trusty 180.48 driver.

Quote: | But which version would the reloaded version use, US or UK patch ? |
RLD release is the US version. Just updated mine with original "FalloutLauncher.exe" and after the update, replaced it with the RLD one. Works like a charm.
