Sure I guess, if you've been raped by a black guy, kidnapped, tortured but it's quite common in people that have seen combat, and they tell us war is natural  |

That falls under 'raped by black guy' yeah anything traumatic will do, a building fell on my grandfather during WW2 but that didn't do it, we make jokes from stuff like that |

uh yeah, having my father's entire lower body shattered is not something i find funny....one of the scariest days of my life...week actually. |

They've subsided alot. But every so often I'll hear he did.
And when he stops by my house early in the morning (5amish) cuz he gives me a ride to work (we work close together), we dont leave till 6:30am so he'll sleep for an hour. When I wake him up he'll walk around disoriented and like wacked out and I have to shake him and then he'll ask "how did I get to the living room son?" and its because of the blackout thing.
Or when I stay over sometimes at his house, I'll be watching tv in the living room at nite and he'll come out and just walk around like he's lost and then I'll shake him and he'll snap outta it. Or he'll scream in his sleep "get the fuckin steel off me!!!" or something.
Still, it used to happen ALL the time, rarely does now. But you still cant make loud noises around him cuz it brings back memories. Like subconciesously (SP) and he gets really mad.
He takes medication for it. Not sure what it is. If you get them and have PTSD, go to the doc and get meds. And since your a vet, it should be free for you. Cuz alot of vets have PTSD and both Canada and the US in the last few years have gone to great lengths to support vets with mental conditions. My cousin who got back from Iraq a year ago has PTSD and is supported by the military (dunno the program or whatever) and my great uncle, who is a WW2 vet STILL has PTSD and is fully supported by the military still.
Cuz he was on the landing at Juno beach and fought till the war was over and we was drafted (not like my grandfather who was already in the military and a Captain, he was a military guy and had the whole mindset ya know? some ppl just dont react well to such trauma).
But for sure go to the doc. If anything, they will prolly give you Oxazepam. A PTSD drug.

I`d install some cams. so you could at least watch what you did during the time you can`t remember.

thats not so big of a deal ^^
im a truckdriver have been so since i turned 18 . my biggest blackout is like 3 hours . was driven truck atm .. althou had been workin for 72.5 hours straight . in 3 hours with truck u drive around 280 km . i took every turn . every stop light without any problem . maybe u just zoomed out like i do sometimes
