great game just cause i'm a fan of LOTR games. played the coop and capture the ring with my 360 it rocks. without the online though it don't worth. bye
God what a waste of bandwidth, uninstalled it after the osgiliath mission. Like Spiderman already said, a dynasty warriors ripoff. The only difference is that Dynasty looks and feels better. The only thing that's good is the setting. But that's the thing with LOTR. Put a nametag on shit that says: "Shadowfax droppings", and it will still sell like crazy.
I just beat the 'good' campaign mode. I played through the tutorial first several days back. It looked kinda boring. But I thought I'll give it a chance and actually play through the whole campaign (well, at least one of the two) just to be sure.
Well, I'm sure now. The rest of the content is boring. I loved LOTR when the movies were out (6-8 years ago). Somehow, now it seems stale and dull. The graphics are okay (at least it supports 2560x1600 natively).
Some of the special moves does remind of the moves in the Dynasty Warriors/Kingdom Under Fire series. The combat is okay. I play using the xbox 360 controller. I wished it included more gore. Actually, I don't think it has any kind of decapitation or severing of limbs. A massive battle without any kind of gore just takes you out of the game and seems out of place.
Overall, the game is just dull and feels like a chore to play.
