True I forgot about that (There are various methods like test mode or pressing F8 before starting.) but the drivers themselves would need to be 64-bit and so far only a 32-bit version is available.

Started playing and noticed that the glaive glows green every once in a while, followed by an explanation consisting of stars and a letter C. Are those instructions on how to use new abilities with the glaive, because so far the only attacks i've come across are the normal and charged(when it flashes yellow). So are those instructions important or should I just ignore them?

i was reading somewhere it is russian only and for russia only because of ESRB.it cant be sold in EU or USA.in russia thereis no ESRB so thats why it is russian only
1.5 hour to finish the download...damn that was slow

Well this Russian studio is actually pretty good. Companies should just start outsourcing their ports to them instead of trying to do it themselves.
Of course that really depends on the engine, but come on, those screens at that resolution on an 8600gt? (Unless Pey is joking >___>)
Port more games Russian studio.

can someone help me pls.
i installed the game using dt.then installed fstarforce driver using add hardware in devicemanager.then i cant start the game.its checking the disk and saying failed.if i will unmount image its asking for cd.
what is the steps to run it pls?
nevermind.it was dt.have to exit it when starting the game

i posted this tutorial in tpb .i guess i can post it here too :
1. you need and virtual IDE device not SCSI
to do this go to setting and enable IDE device in deamon tools advanced pro.->setting->virtual...
2.mount the image install
3.run ones . allow it to install driver (it will ask)
4.you get error msg (try again and so....)
5.open device manager locate starforce driver and remove it
6.go to add new hardware and add a new hardware ->select "install the new hardware...(advanced) click next
7.select "show all devices" click next
8.click "have disk"
9.click browse go to the folder you have extracted the fs_3_3 that came with the download X:\dark_sector\fs_3_3\
10.select "dev000" and click "open"
11.click "ok"
12.click "next"
13.click "next" again
14.the driver installation should start
15.after the installation finishes click done or finish i don't remember what it is
16.enjoy the game
NOTE:
Done under:
vista 32bit with daemon tools advanced pro
p.s you need to have the image mounted in the drive to play
p.s.s : you can try and skip step 5 but i don't know what the result would be
NOT WORKING UNDER VISTA X64
p.s.s.s : a Thought can't we use the 360 or ps 3 release to extract the text files from it some how i would have tried but i don't have an xbox360 or a ps3

Hopefully this will all be easier once Daemon Tools or the SPTD drivers are updated properly to work with Star-Force 5 without BSOD'ing when SF detects the emulated copy.
(New version of DT Pro might be out this week from what I've read on the forums, unsure what the changes will be though.)
EDIT: To the above person, it seems that Star-Force has the files in a protected state and checks this when the game starts, alterations to files will thus make the game stop or just crash from what I've read from other users in this thread and elsewhere.

i use that method the play the game and every thing works great for me. but i can speak only for my self.
Edit : oh i think you mean the last thing i say about taking the files from 360 or ps3 then i don't know about that

im playing it now.this game is a real stuff.very good game.i like it more than gow.the only thing is camera fucked up a bit while running.btw can i change crosshair?i want a cross or even a dot would be great

Go to your installation folder and find DS.cfg. Open it via the notepad and edit the following line: App.Language=ru
Change the ru to fr, save the file and that's it.
