just an idea : someone could extract the english text files from the 360 edition and make an .exe file to replace the pc russian one .I think it's possible for hardware expert people.

guys..i know it's kinda late now lol..but, any installation info?
i use winxp 32 bit, i installed the game and after i installed the starforce driver by adding new hardware , but when i click the game icon, it ask me to install the sf drivers and if i do it, bsod and if not..nothing happends..please help s o s :0

Do u have dt 4.30.3 installed?

no..older version ..this is the key?

edit:well..updates to the latest dt and still the same :/
i will try to reinstall..maybe it is still fuck with me, cause i had 2 sf drivers installed and one of them wasn't installed properly..now i have one installed and i am reinstalling the game and we will see what happends:) |

works fine here with 4.12, it's prolly smth else.
maybe you have some left over sf drivers from another game that cause a conflict?

You could just use dt pro and vIDE.

yeah,dt pro with ide, but you need to let the game install it's sf drivers too, otherwise it won't start, and that's where he gets the blue screen.
and yes, there is a sf cleaner

ok..maybe i will go with the dt pro..from what i understand, the game worth the effort.
i guess that the bsod came when the fake driver was on the machine too..there came conflict, but probably if i will uninstall it and will reinstall using the dt pro, it will do the trick.
edit:finaly..works like charm

i don't think it works without dt pro + mounting the image as an ide drive.
and no, the conflict wasn't because of the fake driver. you need that too (i installed it before installing the game).

If the drivers bypass star-force entirely it should work on x64 systems, just played "Turgor" (Tension) a bit recently myself as it also got cracked a while ago.
(Found a unpacker as well but couldn't get the game to read those files, tried tampering with the main menu text but it was all textures and my edits pretty much sucked.)
Easiest way to check is to delete Protect.exe, Protectx86 and Protectx64 and run the game as the above files will totally remove star-force (Aside from the checks in the EXE but it won't install the drivers or anything, just complain about missing files.)

so? install them. the crack might let you play without the image mounted, but it sounds like you need the drivers.

clicked install but it detects emulation etc
and the anti SF shit doesn't work on vista 64 :/

did ya try jbeckman's suggestion about deleting the protect files?
delete that shit and copy the no-dvd, if that fails, you're prolly better off dual booting xp, but i doubt that's worth the trouble. for this game, at least.

if I do remove protect files , the game asks for those files and crashes
I guess I'll just wait for a proper crack which actually removes the protection and not a silly script kiddy job
