Just finished the demo,
Pretty intense, plays very smooth all maxed out on 1680x1050.
Prob gonna buy it, but I do hope there will be ways to change the UI, disliking it.

Scary for sure, had 1 moment where I seriously jumped from my chair Crying or Very sad

edit: oh my sig is wrong, not using a 8800GT any more but a 4870x2.

thx for the short Review. I'm downloading the Demo now. Yes, i hate these "Scary Moments" in dark Games. Very Happy
When i like the Demo i buy the US Version.

No multiplayer in the demo?

for me those Games are not good for Multiplayer. Doom 3 -> MP sucks, F.E.A.R. -> MP sucks for me. These Games are SP Games. They make 90% Sp and 10% MP.
So better buy only Multiplayer Games, in this, only MP Games the "Singleplayer" is bad against bots.
You see?
MP Games = 100% Fun in MP and SP sucks
SP GAMES = 100% Fun in SP and MP mostly sucks (not always)

FEAR has great online, in fact I still play FEAR Combat from time to time, so not sure what are you talking about.

i'm talking about the most SP shooter are not so good at MP. And Yes, the old Games are great in both. Wink

you got to be kidding, graphics are indeed a bit outdated as teniak wrote and like i said pretty much of the same all over again. graphics are the same covered by some special effects like in the expansion 'extraction point' and gameplay is the same, again with the slo-mo. did i f.e.a.r. 2 ... not one second, wish i did Razz

Original demo wasn't f.e.a.r-ful either. And who cares if it has the same gameplay? You liked it back in 2005, you like it now, so what's the problem? The gameplay was never the problem with the expansions, but the lackluster story and setting.

Yes you didn't like it, we got that from your other post already. It's natural that different people have different opinions. What I don't understand is why do you keep repeating your opinion. You make it sound as if the world revolves just around your opinion or something. About GFX part, tell me exactly what's outdated? And which games, according to you, are with "up-to-date" GFX?

Loving the graphics!
Fits well with the atmosphere in my opinion.
And the new 'scare factors' look much better now.

Sure it's all the same, scary moments, combat, repeat. But that's what I like Twisted Evil
It keeps me going and wondering what will be around the next corner.

So all in all I got nothing to complain about in this game which has been rare for me lately. Okay I do not like the way the UI has been set up with the helmet but I'll get used to it once the story and frightening moments take over Smile

Same here..not sure why this is happening...but this isn't the only game I've had noticed this problem.
It all started since I bought my new ATI HD4850. I've noticed it in Crysis, Farcry 2 so far. Changing the settings doesn't help. Looking forward to a new Catalyst release (9.1 from what I've read) which I hope will fix this problem.
