I hope the full game isn't as intense as the demo, otherwise I'll have to play it in small chunks. However, I believe the demo is a compressed version of one area, to throw it all in your face and give you a taste of what's to come.

Damn I scared my self like 3 times in only 10 min. Pff way way better then any movie ever!
BTW Where can I read the story of F.E.A.R (1) + expesnsions. Cause never played them but I wanna know the story.

Since I have the almost the same rig as you, could you tell me that settings you can run the game on? It'll be quite some time before I can try the demo for myself...

Everything maxed out with FSAA enabled at 1280 x 1024 but I was just testing , I can put the resolution higher at a very smooth FPS

The demo reminded me too much of Riddick EFBB for some reason, can't tell what exactly, but everything from movement, graphics and sounds all screamed EFBB much more than FEAR. That said, EFBB was one of the best games in years, so if this is as good, it's bound to be excellent.

I just finished the demo, like i was expecting , it is a fantastic game, one thing i didnt like its the console stuff, black bars, interface, the help ( press R to reload omg),
but wtf, im having alot of suttering....at the end is almost unplayable. anyone with same problem?
Q9450 2.6ghz
ATI 4870 1GB

1680x1050, everything maxed, 4xAA, 16xAF, 55-70 FPS (e8400, 8800GT, 4GB). These black bars are fucking annoying and it's somewhat blurry.
I thought the demo was great, albeit long. Atmosphere so-so and it didn't really scare me. With that said I'm definitely looking forward to playing it.

Most of the pausing expierienced in the game is more than likely the game saving "checkpoints" like in FEAR1 but it is not making you aware of the fact, decent game, is very consolish as previously mentioned but seems like a good true sequal all the same from the demo
