Gran Turismo 5: Prologue (PS3)
Recently picked this up again and whilst multiplayer is still awful thanks to the rammers, I'm finding singleplayer enjoyable, particularly as I unlock more and more of the higher powered cars. It's quite a relaxing game actually. Start up a session, get some good laps in (a challenge with the driving aids turned off) and then sit back, kick up your feet and watch the replay in all its glory. That's basically all I've been doing but it's a lot of fun, thanks to the variety of cars on offer and satisfying due to the 'car porn' quality of the replays.
iRacing (PC)
Another racing game, this time on the PC. It's a multiplayer only title, and subscription based, but definitely check it out if you're into simulations. I'll be getting my 'C' license soon so I'm going to be driving the trucks and Mazda next season. Already given the trucks a whirl and got a whopping 18 incidents in the first race (without even touching a single other racer), and two incidents in my second... was a little crazy at first, but it's currently the only way to get sufficient practice with the rest of the racers (at least until the next update, when open practice servers are added).
Some videos of the Solstice, nicely edited video of the Mazda (in a non-officiated event, hence all the crashes), and a truck race featuring a real nascar driver.

GT:P is full of bugs and completely unfinished. its a shame that sony sold this as a game. it could only be called a beta or demo at worst
if your driving in an oval, the cars are bigger (invisibly) than they really are. this results in invisible hits. biggest joke ever
advice: DO NOT BUY

You're talking about collision detection, which is poor, but since there isn't any actual damage in GT5p I'm guessing it wasn't a high priority to get it pixel perfect. As a game it feels complete, finished, and in terms of 'bugs' I'm struggling to think of just one? For less than £20 I find it hard to complain, but I suppose you have to reconcile with what GT5p set out to be rather than what you want it to be.

God of War (PS2) 10/10
Not much to add there, a perfect game.
Grandia III (PS2) 8.5/10
Story was a little weak but top notch gameplay more than makes up for it.

Just starting playig GRAW II on the Xbox 360, much better than sucky PC version, actually it resembles the 2nd installment released on PS2 & the original Xbox. Also very enjoyable online or offlie multiplayer.

The obvious two. 10/10 to both of them. Two VERY strong goty contenders within the same week frame. Amazing.
And also Castlevania:portrait of ruin. I must say the 3 games they released for ds are all great. Dawn of sorrow is probably the best, but c:por is also great. Characters are on level 65 at the moment. Still a few hours to go.
