Game was bought digitally via EA store, it's not that bad altough it can't compare to the Steam platform but it's easy to use and pretty small without any extra stuff.
(Apparently EA is also very easy to deal with regarding license revokation and similar protection problems and they've also finally started redistributing those revoke programs.)

As for the game being easy it might depend on your playing style but I haven't had any major difficulties with the things I've tried.

Road Rage for example requires you to smash other cars into objects to destroy them but It's pretty easy to smash a large number of cars if you have a good muscle vehicle easily doubling the amount of destroyed vehicles compared to the target number and well within the time limit, it's made a bit easier as you get several "lives" if you get smashed yourself and you can also drive to a repair station to instantly repair your cars damage and the amount of "lives" you get and you get a ten second time bonus for every car you smash.

Marked Man is a bit more challenging as you need to drive from one end of the city to another there's no time limit or so but other cars will constantly try to destroy your vehicle but once again you can drive to a repair station to even the odds.

Road Rules are a more personal side event as other players can compete indirectly by having the fasteset time between two streets, it'll get more challenging over time as times get pushed down. (One specific road now has a time record of a bit over just five seconds making it pretty difficult to beat.)

Burning Routes will probably get far more difficult as the time you get to drive between two places will probably be lowered considerably with faster and better cars though so far I've passed all of these without any real difficulty.
(Crashed during one event and barely made it but I still had five or so seconds left before the time limit was up.)

Haven't tried racing or participating with other players directly but that also seems to be possible either via the party screen in the main menu or the network options when driving around in the game and being online.

EDIT: To the post below.

That's what I'm thinking as well, once I get closer to the class B license the difficulty will probably increase and then further increase as I make my way past it and towards the A class and the final Burnout licenses.

call me crazy, but all that money wasted on a pc like that, just to play at 1680x1050? Laughing

why you didnt buy an 24" 1920x1200 native res ? you can get one cheap.

Back when I built this machine good quality 24" monitors cost quite a bit of money compared to a 22" and 1680x1050 works pretty well though I have considered upgrading to a 24" as I doubt I would notice much of a performance decrease thanks to the GPU.

Which is also one of the reasons I choose that monitor as my original GPU was a ATI 2900XT and only recently did I sell that and upgraded to this 4870X2 card.

DRM is just SecuROM digital activation via serial number, probably the standard three activations before you need to call EA and have them reset. Smile
(Not using a serial number allows the game to be installed in trial mode, guess it's the full game but time limited to for example 24 hours or something.)

you should buy an 24" 1920x1200, with a pc like that you can play at 1920x1200 resolution without any problems.

when you play at 1920x1200 you will not want to play at 1680x1050 anymore, believe me Very Happy

i play all my games at that resolution with :

Q9450 2.6
4GB PC6400
4870 1GB

Oh I know what you mean, I'll upgrade eventually and the family computer (Unsure what to call it, used by the other family members.) uses a somewhat cheap HP 24" model and it works great for high resolution gaming and these new "HD" movie formats.
(Playback isn't that great though as it's a bit dated by now and uses a AMD X2 4400 processor with 2GB RAM and a 7800GTX 256MB)

As been said countless times before full game is also a trial. It's weird that the trial is not uploaded anywhere, I guess everyone who bought it are really stuck up.

Can't wait for this one, played it quite a bit on the 360, but it'll be better on PC.

Small size of applications normally means good developers.
