Every time that I try to load the game from the 4 cd realease I get the message:
"game.dat has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Any idea what is wrong and how to fix it?

What appz do you use to Mount ?? use Daemon tools. alcohol gave me same problem but as soon as used D Tools it worked great. BTW i have a DVD version not the cd version.

istenfasza has the same problem and he's using Daemon tools. zman8 -> Try enabling all emulation options. See if that works.

same thing happens to me, using the most recent Daemon tools with all options enabled. it says it tried to read or write to an address to which it doesn't have access. I tried removing "read-only" from the entire directory and that didn't accomplish a whole lot. I tried disabling my virus scanner too.
this is happening with the HOODLUM version btw. DVD version, mounted, and installed that way.

okay figured out what happened. if the "game.dat" you have was last changed on December 9th, at 12:04 (I think), that is not the right version and it will probably toss an error. Don't offer warez the version I had/you have might be corrupted or just there to piss us off.

Sakeido -> Please don't tell people where to get stuff. It may not say in the rules but It's not allowed here. Glad you got it working. Don't know really but I got some errors when using the cracked game.dat file.

sorry, I thought I could menteion that site, guess not. my computer murdered itself right after I dl'ed that file though, it might have a virus. i still haven't quite got my comp back to 100% yet...

Hoodlium version is working for me, but Clone cd is a sh*t.
