Seems the console release it "out" ( Street_Fighter_IV_RF_XBOX360-KFC )
As been mentioned the PC edition will follow some time after the console releases and I don't think there's a exact release date.

No doubt it will be an easy port, but Capcom got really fed up with the speed with which Lost Planet got cracked... SF4 is unofficially console exclusive for awhile so as to tempt gamers into buying the game, instead of just dowloading it.

It might sound a bit stupid but that is their reason for delaying the PC version, added development time isn't that bad though. (Lost Planet and DMC 4 were great ports, RE4 wasn't the best due to technical issues but was handled by another studio and not Capcom themselves.)
Console titles are pirated just like the PC ones (Aside from PS3 due to hardware differences or cost.) but at a smaller scale despite early leaks so most companies don't see it as such a big issue or even ignore it. (For Capcom Street Fighter 4 X360 edition leaked yesterday to name a example.)

Other studios like Ubisoft does the same thing but at a somewhat smaller scale.

(Hawx is only delayed a week for PC following the X360 and PS3 release dates.)

I think people should stop criticizing Capcom and say "thank you" for even releasing these games to the PC. Let me remind you all, that Capcom was a predominately console developers, and only recently they started making (porting) their games for PC as well. So for game series that were never available on PC before, if I have to choose between a delay and no game at all, I prefer to wait, thank you very much, even if it's 6 months.

Extra content, first DLC for free, etc. all make it worth the wait IMO Also, there has not been a proper fighting game indeed since MK4 in 98. But about monitors, I think the situation has much improved since the dark days of 17"-19" monitors. I think everyone, even the non tech savvy people already know how to connect their PCs to their big plasmas and LCD as easily as connecting a monitor. And even without that, monitors are getting larger and larger, wide 22" and 24" are pretty standard these days, and they are very capable of sustaining a few friends in split screen.
I think even the notion that console-only developers moving to porting to PC, even direct ports, is fantastic, and I don't care if I have to wait extra few months for games like SF4 or HAWX. After all, we've been waiting for such games for years, so what are extra few months?

By any chance is this game using MT-Framework engine?

What are u talking about? SF the original was released on the PC as was SF2 Turbo. I even owned it. Sure they are primarily a console developer, but SF was ported to the PC.

Not sure, but I sort of doubt it. MT Framework is used internally by Capcom, and they use it to build pretty much all of their in-house current-gen games. The thing is, SFIV was actually mostly developed by an outside developer called Dimps. So, seeing as SFIV isn't actually 100% internally developed by Capcom, I'm not sure if it'd be using MT Framework, or an engine made by Dimps.
Either way, it sure is pretty.
Wow. You haven't been paying attention at all, have you? It was never slated to launch on PC alongside the PS3/360 versions.

google, 20s:
Quote: | Did you guys develop your own engine for this game, or are you using the MT Framework engine that the other next generation Capcom games (such as Lost Planet and Devil May Cry 4) are using?
YO: Yes, we are looking at an original engine. We did not use the MT Framework, for a couple reasons. One is, it's versatile, but it's very well suited to games like Lost Planet, or a game like Onimusha, or something like that; for a sort of 3D perspective action game.
It's an incredible engine working with a game like that, but this time not only is the game style completely different with Street Fighter IV, but the art style itself, the shaders we're using, are extremely unique and all custom made for this title. We felt that we would be better off with a different engine than MT Framework, so we are working with original technology this time around.
And, of course, MT Framework is a great engine, and certainly we are borrowing bits and pieces of that technology for what we are doing now. There are so many good parts that we can pick and choose, and blend into the engine now, so we have most certainly been doing that, and exchanging information with that team. |

dunno why people are thinking Capcom is new to PC gaming..I remember buying (and I still have the box there) the PC version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo, I think it was released in '95... it was a DOS game and from what I remember there was a floppy disk version and a CDROM version.
