I think You are overreacting, usualy by the time I have first wraith up the opposing team already has shitloads of AV infantry, and they(walkers) go down quick. Different could be with deff dreads as they are dirt cheap, didn't tried yet.

anyway , so it will be dealt with soon, and played long before officially launched.. I wonder if the beta keys will actually work for MP... hope they will, because the skirmish ai in the beta was pathetic and MP would be the way to go... As i understood the single player is kinda.. boring as well.

Hm, I just had a 90 min. game on Dow1 40k: firestorm mod- in th end i had 2 screens full of orks- ma green boyz all over the place Very Happy . After that i launched the beta again and.. meh @ 3 squads..

What could I do? there's nothing now that would allow the game to be played.

Someone did upload the setup-files from Relics online store but that person sent them as a torrent and uploaded on 'Bay plus he stopped seeding so noone can get ahold of the files.

Assuming the game uses Steam It'll either use the setup method used by Fear 2 and Saints Row 2 and the keys for Dawn of War 2 aren't available yet.

If it's a normal setup routine there might be a release date check or similar that further prevents installation.

Should the game be installable it might still require a crack or perhaps that loader workaround to be playable and doesn't it use LIVE as well which would further complicate any "homemade" attempts to run the game.

Best would be to wait for a group to release the game, cracks might interfere with MP gaming though.

EDIT: Relic also plans to have a patch ready for when the game is out so that would also be something to consider.

I just checked again and yes you're right, sorry my mistake. Smile
(There's quite a few DoW related entries in the .blob file.)

EDIT: Screen shows .SIM files so it's the same procedure as for FEAR 2. Smile

EDIT:
Dawn of War 2 - AppID is 15620

Dawn of War 2 Common Files - AppID is 15621 and key is B89419B9155240919AE572CF47912398

Dawn of War 2 English - AppID is 15622 and key is E539E40F992EFD2E3031DDD153BA16A0

Those should be what you would need to unpack the game.

EDIT: Filename contains spaces, if possible copy them to the HD and remove them, it's the SIM SID and SIS files.

EDIT: Seems others already worked with this but currently the tools don't work properly due to not excluding the AppID for DoW 2, hard to explain.

The full line would then be:
simpack x -g15621 "Dawn of War II_disk1.sim" c:\DoW2\1 -kB89419B9155240919AE572CF47912398
simpack x -g15622 "Dawn of War II_disk1.sim" c:\\DoW2\2 -kE539E40F992EFD2E3031DDD153BA16A0

That means it works but it doesn't recognize the AppID as one of those it should do a bit of a trick with, try this file instead as I modified it a bit.

For the REV loader I'd guess you just use the first AppId of the game itself - 15620

EDIT: Along with the same method as used in FEAR 2, probably the same as the instructions in the programs own readme file.
