the day 0 patch (tomorrow ?) will introduce 2 new maps (1vs1 & 3vs3)

So far i'm continuing to play the campaign in coop and its amazing and great fun. i love that the units upgrades make them nothing like in the MP part. Also, tho the SP maps are not many they have great designs and art- especially the urban ones. It's a pity that they are not converted into MP.

As for the ai, hm i got no problems with it on hard. It's a bit frustrating that they like to spam certain units tho..

I don't know whether you guys are playing me or just have shit micro... lol. Build combo:
1 Dev bolter, cap gens upgrade em, rush Assault Space Marines, engage enemy, suppress him, jump in with marines, rape him, use FC special ability in conjunction with ASM. Rinse and repeat til you get a dreadnought to knock out his base turrets, then just rape his base.

It's ridiculously easy. I have no idea what you guys are doing Razz

I'm surprised how much I enjoy this campaign. It's a shame the level cap is 20.

So open beta cd key still works for you with your live online profile? I know that you cannot play coop or online except maybe for lan with offline profile so if you are playing coop with beta cd key or you bought the game early at some store which i doubt...

You can't get the beta cd key once you uninstalled it. And the beta period just finished so if you didn't wrote on some paper or something the cd key there's no way to get one now.

How can you forget to log in? It's automatic. It's strange, I never had any problems with G4WL everyone keeps mentioning.

Or you're using the wrong release. I've been playing co-op online.

EDIT: Game released early on steam, since it's a steam game, you won't get patches unless you buy.

Don't bullshit people like that.

All of these new titles that use STEAM as their copy protection will be made available by the groups - they're AAA titles that won't be passed upon simply because STEAM is the only way to install them. The same goes for Empire: Total War.

Okay, my bad.

Enjoy waiting months for patches. If you think it's an AAA title, don't be a douche and go buy it. Personally I'm just waiting for a boxed copy.

Yes, apparently the bug was in beta as well. After you finish a mission, and it shows that loading screen with the spaceships, the game always crashes to desktop with that same error message.

I get crashes during ingame missions which is frustrating as fuck since you can't save during a mission forcing me to do it all over again.

It's always the ntdll.dll error in the error reports.

Patch is out, distributed via Steam and not via LIVE as is otherwise common with LIVE titles, fixes quite a few things. Smile

I'll see if I can get ahold of the patched files, managed to find the files for FEAR2 pretty easily as parts of it was uploaded on various sites but I haven't seen much for the DoW 2 update but it was only just released.

if you know how to skimmer around on fileplanet and fool their system you can usually get shit before hand. I managed to get the bioshock demo a week ahead of release at one point.

If theres a demo/patch ready, they'll have it, you just have to find it on their server hidden under various names.

Unfortunately that won't work as it's via Steam so someone will have to grab the modified files and upload those, was hoping that it would be via LIVE as seems to be usual for titles that use it (Fallout 3, GTA IV and such.) but it seems they'll rely exclusively on Steam for patches.

It's pretty obvious why DoW2 relies on Steam for patches, because the game requires Steam (Fallout 3 and GTAIV does not if you buy retail box).
