Downloaded in under 30 minutes which rocked (currently in Atlanta), but than I tried loading it.
Like quite a few people on the main forum for the game I'm having absolutely unplayable framerates at any resolution. Must be a driver issue of some kind. If your game seems to not load at the first splash screen, its not frozen, the damn thing just takes forever if your having the slowdown issue. I can live with it since I'm sure they'll patch it, but it did give me a blue screen of death upon exiting to Windows XP. Will try installing on gaming rig when i get home.
Tested game with-
AMD X2 Dual 6400
ATI x1200 (onboard)
sound (onboard)
4gb ram

Wow, what a fantastic demo! The game is fantastic, beautifully and runs amazingly well here (everything max, 1920x1200). Sea battles are fantastic, but that's probably just because I'm a sucker for the period and love sea battles (Master and Commander highly recommended!).

Still waiting to download this overnight (damn British ISP's ) but from all the reactions I'm thinking I might as well just wait until the full version is released

Yeah, demo is very very very small, it even says it in the outro ("Thanks for playing this small demo") Amazing game, though, so at least you have bits and pieces to enjoy until full comes out.

I downloaded the demo but the "preparing to lauch ETW demo" little steam screen keeps flashing and nothing comes... (yes I have a rig "strong" enough to launch it).

Good demo. Runs great, all on high and 40+ fps in the first naval battle (down to 20 with 21 ships) in the historical battle. Land tutorial battle was 30+ fps and the historical one around that number as well.
FREAKING AWESOME!

How in the flying fuck do you UNBIND a goddamn key?
These controls are completely fucking fubar - why didn't they retain the Medieval 2 control settings? I feel like I'm spending half the time trying to line my fucking units up correctly rather then actually fighting...

Lol! I couldn't even be bothered to line them up - there wasn't much motivation and I just felt lazy. If I was playing campaign it would be a different story - I hate losing units.

So how do you unbind a key under the custom configuration so you can bind it to something else. Anybody?

should be enough to run this... but it´s not! even in lowsettings it´s the same crap over and over.
