Dunno about anyone else... but, to me, this seems much truer to the tabletop game than the first Dawn of War did.
I really like the game so far.

By now I'm trying to get the contents of the "loader" folder from RFORCE's release, which presumably contain all the necessary files to get the goddamn loader to work. However, 99% of the torrents are split in dozens of RARs, stuck in that antediluvian tradition. Which means I can't get that folder without downloading the entire RFORCE release.

So? Just set it to download and go to bed. Wink

Thanks for your help, Wicked, but now I'm getting a different error: 5:0000065432. This is getting frustrating.

I guess I might be using the wrong steamclient.dll, but I can't get ahold of another version. Evil or Very Mad

double check the error, did it mention another dll file missing? I used the Iforce version and after installing steam, i copied the first dll to the directory, then it asked for a few more. Prob would have been easier just to tell the ini file to look in the steam directory ..but it finally started to work.

Now i get a scar error, but i updated from the links here and see i should have started a new game. *shrugs*

when i get the funding up ill be picking this one up, its different enough to be worthy of the game collection. (and it will hold me over until d3...maybe.)

Hotfix in the works for a campaign mission bug, mentioned briefly on the previous page but quite important, I'll see if I can get ahold of the updated files but it might take a while.

http://www.shacknews.com/onearticle.x/57342

EDIT: Hotfix file. (Only one, put it in the \GameAssets\Archive\ folder)

so that hotix is this?

Fixed a bug that caused missions to stop populating. Regular save games should not be affected while previous 'stalled' save games should now continue normally

Works flawlessly again with updated files from JB and steam emulation like in fear2, mp works fine with old sega key, just used vty version and copied files from fear 2 into the gamedir and changed rev.ini procName and number in steam_appid.txt, can't be done easier lol Razz

I checked some of the movie files and there's some cool stuff in there.

ork_outro_rough
sm_outro_rough
sm_boss1_dreadnought
eldar_intro_rough

Boss videos do show now and then in the campaign but I didn't think the Space Marines had one, Intro and Outro vids are pretty rough as the names suggest and mainly contains sketches and concept art but pretty fun to watch.

Might be that the campaign will be extended later on?

Here is a mirror for the ncfs.
http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/9/17/1438876/ncf.rar

For those that don't know, you place these in steamapps. Game folder goes in steamapps/common/[game name]

But the game may not show as 100% Ready in steam client. With all the messing about with files etc.
