Could I atleast play LAN games / HImachi with my friends? |
You can perfectly complete it, it's the 0day patch that introduced the clusterfuck.

No, most chances are he'll get the Angel Gate bug and not be able to complete the campaign. It has been fixed by the patch.

The problem with playing the same map isn't really that bad. Every now and then you get different spawns on the same maps.

Is there any way to get the Pre-order wargear other than buying the game?
Copying some files from someone who has the wargear unlocked?

The easiest way is to mod one of the missions, and tell it to give you the pre-order gear as a reward. You can also edit some .dll files and such, but I haven't tried that way.
Head over here for instructions on both: http://forums.relicnews.com/forumdisplay.php?f=257

This worked pretty well for the army painter (Colors and chapters.)
http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=216066
However that tutorial by Corsix seems to be mainly for advanced users though it would give the benefit of allowing full editing and online play together with the extra DLC map and wargear. (And unfortunately cheats such as the map-hack he demonstrates, it's a pretty critical flaw affecting all of Windows LIVE.)

I think I managed to find the address of the function in the DLL (I modified it, and the game ran). Now I'm trying to modify the content.bin.

I canยดt seem to get LAN working with Hamachi. Have anybody tried to play via Hamachi? I have used this guide: http://wiki.rtsu.net/How_to_Play_Dawn_of_War_2_over_Hamachi but with no luck. Anyone know how to get it to work?
And why are there only 5 maps the choose from?

You most likely have a latency of over 30 to the person you're trying to play with.

Anyone else tried this with Windows XP 64 and got it working? I keep getting the report error thingie at startup with Vitality's release.. And I've read that many other XP 64 users have same issues as me. I got the game running once, unpatched, but all the texts were messed up so couldn't really play..

XP64 is really a bad Windows with a lot of problems in drivers and compatibility. Why not go Vista64?

No, Vitality only has crack for original retail version right? you would need crack for actual 1.1.1.1 version of the game. Dunno search around maybe there is crack out but I doubt it.

I bought retail and continued the file I started in the first release. Now I can't progress in SP any more as it errors out on one map. Be careful with the patch.

It's cause the patch isn't compatible with older saves.

i ran into 1 "fatal scar error" on some (optional) mission. I simply ignored the mission and went to another sector, did some missions there. Now the (again, optional) mission is replaced with a campaign mission. So if you have that issue, too, just do what i did.
On another note, anyone else loves Cyrus as much as i do ? he kills like 1/2 the Enemy forces using stealth and remote detonators/satchel charges ^^ Its really imba tho, he stays undetected even when planting a bomb next to a whole group of enemies ^^.
