I've done everything u mentioned but the game doesn't start. I'm running vista 64 and if i execute the loader i get " error executing program". If i run it as admin i get "the app failed to start because its side- by -side configuration is incorrect. please see the app event log for further info". Does anybody get this ? Is there any solution available?

You need to install the latest Visual C redistributable. The laoder is compiled with visual studio 2008.

Install visual c++ 2008 redistributable for your OS.

Vitality is only version 1.0, and there are bugs fixed in 1.1. So you should follow method #2 in order to keep your account safe and have the latest version of the game. Smile

Make sure your rev.ini is pointing to steamcllient2.dll and you have steamclient2.dll in same folder as loader, that error number comes when it can't find dll mentioned in rev.ini

Read carefully the iNatan directive and everything should work fine. I'm also running with Vista 64 and I've had some problems however if you do exactly as he said in his first post everything will be fine.

Can you upload the preorder file somewhere else plz? Nowadays rapidshare let the files to be downloaded only 10 times for non-premium uploader's files.

No, we have no bears on the streets here in Russia.

MOD -- Failed to verify content catalog integrity.
Content management system isn't properly initialized.
-- FATAL EXIT --
d:\dow2-patch\src\game\game\src\app\appinit.cpp-1796 !:

crashes as soon as i start it up after dropping the unlock files into the main dir. the path seems kinda weird though, do i have to edit it to my games path? got a legit copy.

Well, I don't know, it worked for me. I have also included the original content.bin for safety reasons. When extracting, did it ask you to overwrite the content.bin?

Works fine here Vista 64bit

@Sencom, did you have wintrust.dll from iNatan in that folder when you tested original content.bin?

What OS you have iNatan and Sencom? Maybe its something to do with Vista and XP system dll differences

I used the files here, but the game wouldn't start because it complained about some function's entry point. I guess this modified version of wintrust.dll is from Vista, right ? Laughing
Incompatible with XP.

BUT I renamed the wintrust.dll and the game launched fine (with your content.bin)
I even loaded my campaign save and got in the gameplay to be sure.

How can I check for the additional content ?

Start a new campaign (the added wargear is nothing special if you have somewhat advanced in the campaign). Paints, map and colors can be used in MP or skirmish.

If anyone uploads the XP DLL file, I will take a look and modify it as well. Smile

Start new campaign and play first mission, now you should have all preorder wargear in your character menu.

I removed wintrust.dll also and it seems to load just fine with edited content.bin

EDIT: iNatan was faster
