Anyone know whats the best Audio Decompressor to use?? Im trying to convert my Xvid Film to DVD format but the Audio needs to me decompressed..

never mind... I have remembered the software I used last time... If anyone else wants to know what the Audio Decomressor was, it comes with AVI2VCD http://home.cogeco.ca/~avi2vcd/

Virtualdub can also decompress both audio and video from and xvid file. That's what I would use together with TMPG encoder.

Ill just use that Decompressor that comes with AVI2VCD.. you just load the file up and hit decompress and thats it Smile

damn, I forgot how long it takes to convert movies Sad... 4 hours!!! ggrrr

there is no such thing as xvid audio it's either ac3 mp3 or ogg so if you have any of those decoders installed your fine

yeah psychoace is right....you could even use winamp's disc write plugin

I do have them installed...

Its when I load the Xvid into TMPGEnc it says the film is 255 minutes long where as its actually only 90 minutes... After using that decompressor, TMPGenc now recognises the file as a 90 minute movie Razz

or you could just buy a phillips dvp 642 and you wont have to convert to dvd
