Every tw game has been hyped like fuck... good thing imho
as i said.. the PC needs a game that says "fuck you" to consoles.. and imho this is it.
TW games have created some of the best mods EVER in a series... i cant wait to see what mods can do for this game..
I imagine there will be a lot of mods in the first week or so to increase unit size.. make battles last longer.. make it a bit tougher.. make the campaign longer.. make each turn a shorter ammount of time (eg if its 6 months.. then a mod to make each turn 1 month etc)

It does work, just not great .
I get the same probs that Javlar mentioned....
No musket/cannon/marching sounds
RtI freezes after first battle
Advisor voice cutting out, or not playing at all
Maybe it's just bizzare coincidence
Still no release?

yes
There are a few issues with it tho, mostly movement related. Some of my agents refuse to move on a turn and they do just fine the next. Also fleets act weirdly sometimes.
The campaign map is overwhelming and confusing at first, but soon you get a hang of it.
Naval battles are lovely, but they are also a whole new facet of this gem to learn.
The battle camera is a mess (at least for me), so is the battle Its very nicely done, but unless you are a pro at multitasking, you will suffer badly. Right now, i leave my bigger battles to the AI, because i lose half my army, where the AI commander wins with like 10% losses
Battles on normal difficulty seem to be harder than they were in earlier TW games. The enemy constantly outmaneuvers you and well.. you better watch out for their guns, they might not be that scary at long range, but it is only one metal ball that needs to knock your general in the head for your whole army to turn ahead and run. Military technology and cover seems to be important.
Anyway, im back to play. Will be curious what the first patch will fix, but i hope most of the quite obvious issues i've encountered will be gone.

Can anyone confirm if the package file extracting work miracles on the final game as well?
The loading shortened considerably since the demo, but I want to give it another nudge in the right direction.
Although waiting for AI turns take forever (lousy single core CPU), so that might discourage me a little.

I have a dual core (X2 6400) and there are so many factions that waiting takes forever here, too. It's annoying me.

According to what I've read on a few sites you can rename the "demo3.pack" file (From just the demo) to "sounds_sfx.pack" and replace the current file to get sound effects working properly, unsure how well this works though as I haven't tested it myself and it's from a demo so it might not be complete.

So Razor is nothing but custom installer of steam files. What about clones, is it possible to activate game using clone and legit key?

Instead of posting BS, say thanks he answered your question. You asked if everyone had the problem, well guess what, "everyone" includes people who have bought the game as well.

It's working fine if you replace sounds_sfx with the demo sfx pack but i encounter loading screen freeze ending with crash after the first battle in Road to Independence.
Anyone else with the same problem?

Can anyone tell me the total size of the game's directory after installing the Razor release?
I'm quite sure the Razor installer is skipping the last file (Empire Total War_disk2_2.sid), so I'm experimenting now to get it complete.
