that street fighter chun li movie
2/10

film seems to think it can be something MORE than a mindless fight film, so it takes itself seriously to the point where it tries and fails to create a 'story', and as a result, removes pretty much all the fighting, except for a couple of crappy unsatisfying ones.. which is inherantly the problem with the main actress.. she cant fight worth a crap and as a result all the fights are of the quick camera cut wire assisted variety, and she cant act, so all her lines and attempts at drama are pure cheesy gold.. this film did the impossible.. it actually managed to fall lower and suck harder than the first attempt at a street fighter film.

is that really so good?

I mean, the story can be, but like, war effects in 2001 can't be that good!

War effects? You mean like CGI? Movies like Full Metal Jacket and Apocalypse Now are still amazing even though they were made a long time ago.

The Watchmen - 10/10

Well well. It's been a long time I took the plunge in opening night cinema viewing! I was going in blind as to what to expect.

I came out awe inspired and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was NOT expecting the near perfect atmosphere and engaging characters, and certainly not the great fighting scenes and violence/gore Very Happy

**small spoiler ahead**

Cinematography was fascinating to watch, the best since V for Vendetta IMO. Some amazing scenes in this film, I had to relish mercilessly in drooling at the scene when Rorschach was captured and spilled the story of the little girl. That 10 minute of the movie could have been a movie in itself for the atmosphere and downright awesome storytelling.

Sublime start to finish, highly recommend it!! its rare to see film this good, don't miss out.

boring, too much gore for my taste, too much slow motion scenes, and didnt like the story.

maybe this is a movie only for fans of the comics.
