damn how long does the rzr install take ? its taking so long im not sure if its installing or hanging lol.
edit: ok it just takes ages to unpack movies and stuff lol.
But damn its slow.

Cheers for posting moosenoodles, that was a helpfull conclusion.
So the next step would be to try the retail sounds_sfx.pack
and then theres the patches we need...

9-10 minutes here but on a 10000rpm HDD.I suppose around 15 min for 7200.

My game doesn't even start here. Razor1911 release.
Should've waited some before downloading this monster. Razor has screwed up in the past, and I should've at least suspected something could happen, given the fancy schmancy crack with no loader whatsoever.

No multiplayer in Razor release, not even LAN. Game needs Steam for multiplayer.

Well, for those who can plan the game fine, here's how to get good ol 99999999 money 
Got it off the CH forums and it didn't cost money....atleast everyone there isn't a greedy fuckin pig. Tho, there is a better/more efficient way apparently but its only available for "Unlimited Members". But, I just tried this option and it works perfectly

Step 1: in the upper left corner of cheatengine you select wich program you want cheats for. select empire.exe (requires the game running)
step 2: Under value you type in the current amount of funds you have ingame example 5000 and push first scan.
step 3: Now go in game and buy something or end turn to get a different amount of funds, now type in the new amount in cheatengine under value again, push next scan.
Step 4: you should now only have one option to choose from under addresses in the left box, double click and in the lower box freeze it, in the lower box highlight the memory block and push enter to modify the value. Example 999999.

well trying to install and it appears some error missing .sid something , im using deamon tools.
anyone had that problem?

I hope this wont get me banned but could someone please upload sounds_sfx.pack from the version they bought, either retail or the download version.
Dont think its against forum rules as extracted patches were upped for DOW2... ?

If it's the same problem I had, the installer is looking for those files in your temporary folders when it should be checking the DVDs.

u do get boxes that come up and say files are missing during the install a lot, just point it to the dvd. either disk 1 or 2

Might be, I also get the crash after first battle. I tried the sound file from the demo, it works to replace lost sounds, but probably cause more probs later.
As for the american campaign, it still crashed.

Dam it!; I am at Geneva Motor Show and had the DAM GAME IN MY HANDS! today (a friend wanted to buy a German/French keyboard at Media Markt). Its been sent to work by Amazon so I did of course not buy it, will lay my hand on it 1st thing Friday .

rzr release here, everything working great, no problems at all
during the installation it just asked for files that were in the mounted dvd, just pointed to the dvd and installation went thru fine . . .
