Just EXTRACT and PLAY version! (use WINRAR for this)

This is a Repacked, only English version of game.
Just compressed and redacted the crack. Nothin RIP!

For normal play you must install STEAM on you computer. Create new account and play!

1. Normal sound from STEAm version of game included
2. 'road to independence' campaign Bug solved
3. No problem like on Razor Installer
4. Small size

This game still have bugs. But i upload updates soon us posible, after solution found!

You might want to check your save folders, guys... Just deleted 8gb worth of saves. Neutral

I had about 150 saves...

I think i sorted my crash to desktops after the battles. I deleted my "appdata/roaming/the creative assembly" folder and i managed to play after finishing the boston battle in the third chapter. (you lose the saves but you can still play the chapters). Maybe something gets corrupted or i don't know. Haven't tested it much so hopefully all will be well now.

Wouldn't really mind paying for this game myself based on the 30 or so turns I played, but it'd be pretty annoying to shell out money for it and then get hit by the exact same issue, rendering the game unplayable.

First of all, the game is not unplayable. Yes, there are issues with it and i hope they will patch it soon. Yes, you can have bad luck and get a great game thrown out the window because of a corrupted game state that causes you to crash on turn processing. You know what?

Its still one of the best games i've played in a good while and quite frankly if you think this game sucks for ANY reason, then i would love to know what term you would use to describe the steaming pile of horse cr*p thats usually thrown at us with the label: "computer game".

With that being said, i did play virtually non stop through the week and quite frankly the only reason im not playing right now is because i have to work. During this time i might have encountered maybe half a dozen crashes and one corrupted save game.

Its sure as hell not a perfect score, but anybody coming here and claiming that 5-6 crashes in 40+ hours of gameplay render a game 'unplayable' then i can only say: get your eyes checked, because i'm living proof that it is playable.

As for what you would really love to pay for.. if you like this game, the FFS buy it. If you do not want to buy it for ANY reason despite spending days playing it, then at least do us the favor of not trying to explain why.

As for the rest of the whine squad. I can only quote a famous line: "Get a life."

Very well then. If you got past those issues, I am declaring from available anecdotal evidence and hearsay, without having played it myself - the Razor release + fixes resonably complete.

I was looking to buy this game, but its not in any stores I can find. With the low canadian dollor, i'm not buying it on steam either. First TW game I will be playing - will see how it goes.

shut up man. the birth place of sepultura.. u got enough to be proud of, with ur metal scene..

is it just me or are we going thru the same thing we did with securom and the custom activation and triggers shit, only this time the enemy is steam.. there has been a big buzz with steam recently, and how steam sells so many games.. lol. i want to get off this steam shit and go back to the good ole protection.. fck steam.. cnts

just wait for them to start the same bullshit EA is starting with paying extra money to reserve your right to re-download/install a game for the future.

I'm going out on a limb here but I don't think they will get that bad. Valve has been vocally badmouthing CP that limits customers rights for quite some time. So any kind of move on their part in this direction would directly contradict this. I just can't see them doing a 180 on everything they have said so far. And I really Really hope I am right about that. Of course there are some very fucked up things that have been going on with steam lately(delayed patches, pricing, reliability, G4WL duplicate online service bs) but intrusive cp? Would spell a downfall for them I believe. Maybe a gradual downfall, but a downfall nonetheless.

/End of spiel

well how it worked for me is:

1. the full install of the razor release.. so if it asks for disk2_1 for the second time point it manually to disk2_2 until the installer dissapears..

2. the proper legit retail sounds pack. Just overwrite it all.

3. the files that JBeckman provided (awesome work!). Overwrite it all. Then copy the razor .exe.

link: http://www.sendspace.com/file/88jl93

And thats about it.. all sounds.. minimal crashes..and fully playable road to independence.. (well i think)..

I did as above and also found I dont even need the Razor exe file to play the game as the one Jbeckman provided work fine.

The EXE in the archive works without copying over Razors cracked file?

Shouldn't work but I used both (Testing and such.) and might have packed the wrong one accidentally.
(I renamed and switched between them quite a bit to see that Razors cracked version didn't affect the game in any way so there's a large chance of something like that happening as those archives were made rather quickly albeit I'm certain I got all the modified files compared to the original versions in the SIM archives.)

EDIT: Semi-fixed, edited that post with a link to the first patch instead, can't do much else for now without totally messing up the post but the second patch shouldn't actually be needed as the first patch should include all modified and updated files aside from the sound_fx pack file due to it's size whereas the second patch includes just about everything aside from the pack archives.
(Which is this link by the way http://www.sendspace.com/file/jd5chd )

The razor crack is fine. Use it.

It's the exact equivalent of the original, with steam's stub bypassed.

The original worked cause you had steam running I suppose. Not important anyway.

Original exe requires steam of course. Anyhow you can easily copy entire game folder in common folder (in steam dir. ), then add .ncf files in steamapps folder and original exe in game folder, fire up steam and play the game ( lan works also via hamachi).

Yes, only problem is that steam requires updated/current files, not the razor clusterfuck.

open the scripting.lua file in data\campaigns\episodic_3\

search for "shroud_3_hud_gone"

there are some extra brackets and dashes around here that mess up the coding, it's in the lines

--[[scripting.ShowHUD(false)
and
scripting.game_interface:show_shroud(false)]]--

edit it so it reads

scripting.ShowHUD(false)
and
scripting.game_interface:show_shroud(false)

save the file and you should be good to go.

Hmm, strange. I had no problems with the fog, but after capturing Montreal and Quebec, I get the load screen of death. So no jumping to the next campaign part.

Nothing here, the only thing that is annoying is the "heat" prob for the HD 4870x2, fan kicks in at 100% after 10min. Dam it I wish that Accelero 4870x2 will come out SOON!

Anyone figure out how to get it working with hamachi yet?
Says that it requires steam running when selecting any of the multiplayer options.

I'm guessing that means that it would have to be run through a cracked steam client, with a disposable account.

(on a related note - would a cracked steam client get the achievements?)

all this for $25 and it is regular multi-language STEAM version, so english is available.

You know what I miss, more than the price difference, having bought the STEAM version? The damn map. Playing in high resolution it's really difficult to make anything out on the mini-maps and when someone is offering a region, or a mission is asking for this or that reigion I can't make shit out most of the time. Does anyone have a digital copy of it perhaps?
