This really really reminds me of Ace Combat which I loved in the mid/late 90's.

I wonder who would play a console arcade fly game on a pc where superior sims are available with real controls.

People that have more important things to do with their time than learning to fly sim aircraft?
And, this is coming from someone who used to love playing flight sims like Longbow and Falcon 4. A wife, 3 kids, and a job, will usually clear up any notion of learning anything along those lines.

i loved it, playing with assistance off (the funky cam?) is absolutely uncontrollable with a joystick (yet with a mouse it seems to work ok'ish) but its so much fun Very Happy

also, are there no rudder controls in this game? i don't see to be doing any type of rudder movements, which makes it feel a bit awkard at times

Any multiplayer boxing game would be good Smile
Why they've never released a boxing game on the pc is beyond me.
There just about to release the 1st street fighter series on the pc.
Will be quality online.

Yeah I've played everything up until the 6th installment. Not really a fan of the series after it left the PSX. Ace Combat 2 was the best in the series IMO. Earlier games had awesome music as well.

The little demo unlocker was pretty neat.
Neat as in, it unlocked the F-22 Raptor which had multi AA missiles.

Take down 4 jets flying in formation with one stone/4missiles.

True, but I don't think you could change the missile loadout without the unlocker?

Yeah, but it's speed exceeds 3000 km/h, and is ideal for hit & run, not to mention the T.O.P (target override pod) wich this plane can use to gain incredible amounts of XP when spammed Razz

acceleration is the key and for yf-12 it takes forever, besides in dog fights this plane blows, it's slow and unmaneuverable, mir can do 2,5k+ much faster and has decent stock load out
