With an upload speed of 12KBps? LOL! That would be a far cry. I'll try to get his copy for a day & try to make an image for myself. Hopefully that works out. The last time I tried making an ISO of his Assassin's Creed disc, it wouldn't let me create an image with any darn utility.

Hopefully, a review copy also found its way to someone with a better upload speed. This could mean a release before this weekend.

Yeah, it's fun, but only if you have a proper pad (like the 360 one). At the time I didn't have it, and it was very annoying. Playing it later with pad was great. Smile

Or dual boot to the latest beta of W7, seems it's actually faster than current Vista installations (Even when tweaked) despite being a beta with some debug stuff running.
(First release candidate should be out in April from what I know.)

No other way to access proper DX10, this isn't just some smaller shader changes or locked configuration files like Crysis (DX10 does look different from DX9 there and even more so in Warhead but it's a pretty subtle difference.)

Same goes for Stalker: Clear Sky and other titles that use DX10 to enhance visuals albeit you probably won't see much of a benefit or difference where it's just used to improve performance. (Devil May Cry 4 for example.)

Eventually though DX10 will become a standard but by then DX9 will be very aged (Albeit still probably used) and DX11 will have been out for a while.
(It'll take time that is, even more so with MS locking it to a specific OS as it'll limit the market so to speak, same with DX10.1 until NVIDIA supports it.)

QFE.

I've been running the public beta of Win7 since release and it's absoluitely amazing. Very, very impressive release from MS.

As far as DX11 goes, at least it's not being locked SOLELY to Win7 like DX10 was to Vista. DX11 is going to be for WinVista as well as Win7 .. and also has a margin of backwards compatibility with DX9 and DX10 cards (though SM5.0 and tesselation, obviously, are only available to DX11-capable hardware)

I wonder if this game's worth even the bandwidth. EndWar was pathetically simple, and this one doesn't give me a better vibe. :/
