I installed that on a friend's laptop, did all the updates and after a couple of days it throws the activation warning. Says I have 24 days to activate windows.

WTF ?

I guess one of the updates overwrote the cracked files ? Should I try to use that vista loader (which version is the last ? what is the exact size of the exe?)

Well, it seemed very awesome at first, but I think something fucked up with the updates. One of the updates was about genuine validation etc, had to install the WGA plugin to download something from MS site. Something fucked up/

Which crack are BIE using ? There's not gonna be something bad happening if I install the loader, right ?

Also, plz give me the CRC of the vista loader, or its exact bytesize.

just had same 15 days till activation crap
installed Vista Loader 3.0.0.1, works fine

btw in update i cancelled installation of that Malicious Tool so it's something else that disables the activation

BIE november release

i'd actually pay for a legit ultimate version if it didn't cost around 200 euro with sp1 and i'm pretty sure there is no updates since sp1 installed, so yeah fuk'em Razz

The Malicious Tool doesn't interfere with activation. I update my Vista with everything every week and have no problems.

@ Mortibus
Do you have a mrt.exe file in your windows folder/subfolders ?
(it's in \system32\ in XP)

It's the Malicious Removal Tool, maybe you installed it at some point and it's scheduled to run automatically ?

I screwed the pooch on this one. I'm running this release of Vista, and the BIE loader has been working beautifully. Had to reboot today, and now after the loader script I just get dumped back to the bios screen as if I had rebooted the pc. The only way to get into Vista now is if I remove the loader but of course, it's bugging me for activation. I tried Loader 3.0.0.1 but it does the same thing, resets my computer.

The only thing I can think of, I had to install the windows mobile device center for my cell from MS site, and had to "validate" windows before I could download it. That downloaded some plugin (was using firefox) and I'm sure they snuck some shit in there that patches the bios emulator.

Am I fucked? I'm gonna have to reinstall, aren't I?

http://news.softpedia.com/news/Microsoft-To-Kill-SoftMod-Vista-Activation-Crack-105530.shtml

Found this. Oddly my system isn't behaving the way the article suggests. Also it only mentions softmod, not Loader.

-edit-

WOOTERCYCLE! Managed to find an activator that worked. Can boot back into windows and says I'm genuine again, yay! Now watch there's probably some keylogger running in the background or something. Oh well. The DL was well commented so hopefully it's legit.

Laughing I got this on my laptop after reinstalling Vista and installing updates, but it didn't cause trouble. I closed that window and that was it. Have restarted since, nothing problematic. Smile

Yup i used a release from July2008 BIE and installed it 3 times probably worked for ages then suddenly out the blue a activation msg..

Now I never figured out how or why that happeend as with that initial install I did, I had turned off all updates and windows defender etc and it run all fine tiill like late november and suddenly bang a msg.. Now I never even updated anything lol..

Ive recently installed again and its all upto date and have had no msg's again its all fine, didnt install and run the malicious tool this time, dont know why i just though cant be arsed.. Also defender is of from the first boot up of OS, and updates are at my choice of when and how..

Made me wonder if there was a possible random time delay update ms has in sp1 somewhere that when it feels like it will spring out and say "FUCK YOU"...

Either way I go day to day wondering if the next reboot will be the last for this install..

microsoft released a new WGA patch with detects the loader from the releases of ALL vista's. It renders them back to non-activated. However i installed vista 32bit sept-BIE and it is still activated. Just don't update. Also 64bit Sept will not activate for me hehe.
